Dear To Whom It May Concern,

I hope you can help me. I have following complaints. I'd like to register with you about the sales methods at Gwinnett Place Honda, located at Gwinnett Place Honda

3244 Commerce Ave.,

Duluth, GA 30096. This matter has left me annoyed and frustrated.

(1) There was a computer on the table around which the salespeople and I were sitting. But I was not allowed to use the computer to check any information. I saw a man checking online using that computer, so I asked him whether I could use that computer. That man lied to me that the computer was not connected and he quickly disappeared. Later, I was told that he is one of the sales managers of Gwinnett Place Honda.

(2) The salespeople knew that I was not able to calculate the loan without using computer. If I could use computer, I would check Edmund or Peopleloan to calculate my loan. Soooo, the salespeople asked me to pay ~$50 more (for 48 months) than the price we negociated by overcharging me ~$2200, please see below. I found it out when I checked online after I went back home that night.

(3) The salespeople added $1,495 for extended warranty into my finance and put it on my contract without asking me for my permession. Later I found out that the extended warranty services are optional, and I am not obligated to buy this kind of service.

(4) The salespeople added ~$700 for charging me other service to the price we negociated, and he didn't mention a word to me during the whole negociation. He told me that I need to add destination fee, tax, tag fee, and document fee. But he didn't tell me that I need to pay $700 for other services. He gave me an illusion that the price we negociated + destination fee + tax + document fee + tag fee is the final price I need to pay. Later I found out that kind of service charge ($700 in my case) is always included into the negociated price between the constomer and dealer from my friends who bought cars from Gwinnett Place Honda, other Honda dealers, or any other car dealers. The salespeople shocked me by charging me hundreds of dollars without giving me any clue during negociation. It is not right for the salespeople to hide information from their customers.

(5) On the day I bought the car, the salespeople kept saying that I could call them if I have any questions. It didn't take long (a couple of days) for me to figure out that I was overcharged. I called them a couple of days after I bought the car, and kept calling them every a couple of days, I left tons of message in the finance manager's voice mail and asked him to call me back. He never answered my phone, and never called me back. I called the finance manager because he did all my document.

(6) The salespeople whom I negociated with came and forth between me and someone (could be his manager, I think), but I don't know who he is. I don't want to blame the salespeople, because makeing profits is their job. But that doesn't mean that they can overcharge their customers by lying to their customers and hiding information from their customers. It will not take long for the customers to find out the truth. If the customers are not satisfied with Gwinnett Place Honda service, and think they were ripped off by Gwinnett Place Honda, they will share their experience with their friends. I don't think it will be good for Gwinnett Place Honda.

My husband and I bought this car. The above complaints are from me. We women would like to complain to express our bad feelings. Complaining itself makes me feel better.

I believe my complaint deserves to be addressed. Here's what I'd like to see happen: I ask Gwinnett Place Honda to refund me $700, the amount that you charged me but didn't mention to me during the negociation. I cancled the extended warranty service, so I ask Gwinnett Place Honda to refund me $1495 for extended warranty.

If you do not address this issue, I am not really willing to spend more at Gwinnett Place Honda, and you have most likely lost my future business, and I can't see myself recommending you to my friends and family.

Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter. I look forward to hearing from you soon.

I want your sales department to reply as to what you are going to refund this car buyer. You can email me at [email protected]
I will post on our web site what you are willing to do for this unhappy car buyer.

You and I both know that extended warranties are not mandatory for a customer to get a loan approved. The end result will be sent to Honda Motor corp.

What was the extra $700 for that you got this car buyer to pay?

I will also have a chat with this car buyer and find out if you took a shot gun to her credit.

I am getting sick and tired of car dealers taking car buyers to the cleaners. Please do not think we will go away. This information should all be forwarded to the General Manager's Office. I will be a thorn to your dealership's side until this matter is taken care of. The Rip-off Report is a very powerful tool for consumers with over 9,000,000 hits. Word will get out as to the action you take in this Rip-off.

I want this cleaned up now, as in a refund of $1,495 for cramming an extended warranty down the buyers throat plus, the $700 you took and gave this buyer nothing for it. And she gets to keep the extended warrantee for her time and aggravation.

Make sure your GM knows that this will all be forwarded to HONDA MOTOR CORP. This Report is already posted on the badbusinessbureau.com's
RipoffReport.com web site. The report will be UPDATED with any action you take in this matter. Lets hope it is the right one.
