I purchased a brand new 2006 Saturn Ion 2. In less than a few months I took it in for a strange knocking sound. I was told it was nothing but a few items I had in my car at that time. I went home, took everything out of my car, and took it for a little spin around the block. The knocking was still there.

A short time later my wheels started to squeak so bad I could hear them on the freeway, windows rolled up, and radio on. This is at 7,000 miles. I call the dealer to make an appointment and can't be seen for a couple of weeks. By the time I get in to see the dealer I have a long list of problems. There's the knocking, the wheels/brakes, both front windows aren't working correctly, the On-Star system isn't working properly, and now it's idle is rough.

When I get my car back I was told everything is fine. After driving of the lot I find that the only thing that got fixed was the windows. The other problems exist even more than they did originally! I wasted no time in filing a complaint with the BBB.

I called Saturn Corp and filed a complaint. I contacted a Consumer Attorney specializing in Lemon Law and am currently building a case against Saturn. At this point I am working with one of Saturn's infamous Area Managers. They are replacing the brakes, even though I was told they are fine, and so far have ignored the rest of my issues.

I know my rights under the Oregon Lemon Law as well as the Magnuson-Moss Federal Warranty act. I urge anyone else having similar issues with Saturn to stand up for themselves. We all have tons of rights as consumers.

They only have a few more chances to correct my issues before I am entitled to a full refund!

Been Screwed By Saturn Myself

Do yourself a favor, forget the Area Manager's. They are there to placate you and nothing more. As you are still under warranty, they will yank your chain by keep returning your vehicle to the dealership. Nothing will ever get fixed for good. File a lemon law grievance with your state. I myself, took these bastards to court. I won and they have 2 weeks left to pay me before I go to my Attorney General. After being bullyed by my Area Manager, I sued. They called in a big gun law firm and were humiliated in court. Lousy cars, Never will I buy a Saturn or an American again. Good Luck. Be aggressive.
