In July 2002 I had $5,500.00 of dental work done. My dentist suggested I use CareCredit, which was supposed to be "12 months same as cash."

I paid $500 to $550 each month, with the balance paid off within the 12-month time limit. Imagine my surprise when the next month brought a statement for nearly $100 more - in late fees and finance charges!

Of course, I was sure this was a mistake. What a freaking nightmare it's been since that day! I have written two letters disputing the amount due - which, by the way, I am NOT going to pay - and have called several times. Today I received yet another statement with another late fee and finance charge assessed. The balance is now over $160.

When I called "Customer Service" - and what a joke THAT is! - I was told that she could do nothing at all, as the credit card company has blocked my account as of July 2003 (when the balance was paid in full). When I asked for names and numbers of someone who COULD do something about this, she said that information wasn't available to her.

I even tried to mention this website - to no avail. My last letter of dispute requested copies of the checks I sent, clearly showing the "Received" dates. I have made it clear that I no longer care to use their services. I have "I am not going to pay this" noted on the account.

At this point, I am SO FRUSTRATED I don't know what to do. Can anyone out there give me some ideas as to how I can get rid of this problem? AAAAAAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!

I am an ex employee of Telatron Marketing Group (814-868-4824) in Erie, PA. They are the company that primary handles the customer service for GE CCC Co. Also known as Monogram Bank. The supervisors are extremely rude to customers and will intentionaly make a customer who calls in and requests to speak with a supervisor to wait a long time. I have been told by a supervisor before to put a customer on hold while they were waiting to talk to the supervisor bc the super had to go take a smoke break. Yes their late fees are bogus. We were told the company does indeed hold the checks for up to a week before opening posting them. Also, Not being able to make a phone payment unless you beg, only but 1 time per year. WHy, so you have to mail it and get a late fee! The company rep told us they depend on the revenue from the late fees.
