Approximately three weeks ago I applied for a card with this orgainization, the adveristment read that there were no annual fees and to apply now. I applied, I recieved the card with a limit of $250 and did use it until 01/24/02 charging $49.12 unaware of their absorbent memebership fees. Returning home on 1/24/02 I received a billing with all fees for $178.00. I called the customer service department and was not able to make contact with an employee only with their computerize system. After a great deal of time,I finally found a telephone number with a human being on line. I explained my problem to them, brought to their attention that I had been charged fees that I had not been adquateley imformed about as a consumer. The basic response was that it was in their disclosure and I was legally bound to pay the fees. I informed them that I will be returning the product I had purchased on 1/25/02 for a credit, and wanted the credit card cancelled and refused to pay any fees to them. They informed me that if I did not pay the fees that they would file a negative credit report further damanaging my credit history.I only have one credit card with a very small limit, it is the first since 1991 the Premier Card would be my second. I have recently purchased a home in the last 12 months, the last thing I need to have happen is a problem such as this. I fully intend tomorrow 1/25/02 to return the product for a credit, I do not know if they will allow the credit to pass we shall see!

As michael stated before i, some of us do have a bad credit history and / or no credit history. i am one of thoes. michael ststed he has recieved a valid credit card from first preimer. It does occur to me that he lives in the same state as the company and is therefore protected by his states legislature. However, other aplicants to this company, mainly ones out of state, are not protected by there states legislature. As michael stated in the above statement if you read the fine print you will see all the loopholes in there rules. 1) is they state that all membership fees, annual fees, and other assoiated fees are non refundable and theese transactions are final upon accepting membership. that statement alone is like a licence to rip you off indefinatly. some other offers with this company are more intreguing but also more deadly. 2) they also state (on certian offers) that the card is a MERCHANT card valid only on there network of magizines and websites. unfortunatly fore thoes suckered into this blackhole recieve no restitution. there transactions of fees are also non refundable and final. but along with this offers love for the rip off, comes a more unsettelling piece. its unsecured and costs 200 dollars to apply, 100 dollars a year, and $19.99 for processing. only remaining problem is that this card has no uses. you cannot find a website or magazine that is assoiated with there card network. that clevorly disguises all there offers to out of staters but they make a valid offer to in state residents. i see there main objective is to keep a name for people in neveda and rape all other out of state aplicants. clearly a well thought up scheme. my advice is to stay away from out of state credit providers and utilize your own states recources. maybe youll end up spending more money on intrest or other fees but in the end you will be safer.

I applied for, and received, a MasterCard from First Premier. But, before applying, I made certain I had read every word in their disclaimers and "consumer information". And, in order to do this with any degree of accuracy, you MUST possess a working knowledge of the English language. I made sure I read and re-read their charges, interest rate, late fees, etc. Yes, some of the fees are rather high, but you can avoid the majority of them by paying the balance in full each month. A good number of us do have credit problems and this type of card is a big help, but ONLY if you UNDERSTAND what you are reading.

FIRST PREMIER NOW SAYS THAT WHEN YOU SEND THEM A PERSONAL CHECK FOR PAYMMENT ON YOUR ACCOUNTS, THEY "ELECTRONICALLY PRESENT" IT TO YOUR BANK, KNOWN AS DEBITING YOUR ACCOUNT. THEY THEN HOLD YOUR CHECK FOR 90 DAYS, AND THEN THEY DESTROY YOUR CHECK. SINCE MANY OF US HAVE ALL THOSE OTHER CARDS, FROM THEM, WHICH WE DID NOT APPLY FOR, AND ARE NOW PAYING DEARLY FOR, WE WILL NOW NOT HAVE THESE CANCELLED CHECKS AS PROOF OF PAYMENT. THE ONLY THING YOUR BANK STATEMENT IS GOING TO SAY IS "DEBIT TO FIRST PREMIER". NOT WHICH ACCOUNT THE PAYMENT WAS APPLIED TO. I CALLD TO TELL THEM I DO NOT WANT TO PARTICIPATE IN THE ACTIVITY, AND THEY INFORM ME I HAVE NO CHOICE. THE BACK OF THE STATEMENT STATES THAT IF YOU DO NOT WISH TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS ELECTRONIC PRESENTATION, TO CALL AND TELL THEM, I DID, AND GUESS WHAT!!!!!? THEY LIED. YOU DO NOT HAVE A CHOICE. I MADE COMPLAINTS TO THE BBB, IN THEIR STATE, AND THE ATTORNEY GENERAL IN MY STATE. I THINK I HAVE A RIGHT TO GET MY CHECKS BACK
