Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
As a recent college graduate in January/February of 2005 I moved back to Houston to pursue job interviews, and Eventive Promotions was one of the first companies that I had heard back from after applying off Monster.com.

I went to the first interview and everyone was dressed professionaly and acted the part so I set up a second interview.

On the second interview they informed me that I would be paired up with two employee and going with them to "follow them in the field."

I had driven down there and told them I would follow them, when the guy said, "We like to ask a few questions and hold part of the interview in the car, so you need to ride with us."

Like an idiot I got in the car to travel completley across town (Sugarland to The Woodlands, over an hour away) Upon arriving I found that not only is it A PYRAMID SCHEME! but the man interviewing me was the most unprofessional person I had ever met. The job is fingerprinting kids at Toys 'R' Us or probably something similar, and selling books, calanders, videos to parents. They make it sound fun and exciting when they are just ripping people off in the first place, they get all that stuff for free from Charity.

When I said I was intersted in moving to Austin he commented about how he hated Austin because of the "queers", note I just met the guy. He also made repeated sexual advances on his co-worker, telling her to leave her boyfriend and "get with him". He said the people that lived in The Woodlands were "rich snobs with more money then they know what to do with, and that they'll buy anything". (I am from The Woodlands)

At lunch, which I paid for, I told him that I was not interested, and he told me "Well thanks for coming out, now you can either hang out with us for the remainder of the day or you can find a ride home"

I drove an hour from The Woodlands, to Sugarland, to ride with him back to The Woodlands to have a friend come pick me up and take me back to Sugarland, so that I could turn around and go back home... to the Woodlands.

One thing I forgot to point out in my earlier comment is that Eventive Promotions current address is different from this Bob's report 2005.

Current address is 11228 Wilcrest Green Dr, Houston, Tx.,  A few other viewers mentioned that this company moves around a lot.  Hence, another red flag.  Phone number appears to be the same as before 713-334-8800.

Thank you for writing this report.  This put an end to my suspicion about this company.

Long story short - I also have been looking for a job for sometime now.  I have been in sales for 20+ years.  Due to economic times the industry I have all this experience with is down, down, down.  Therefore I have had to use my part time catering/bartending skills to balance finances.

Anyway, I also responded to an ad Eventive Promotions (EPI) had posted for Marketing & Sales Reps on careers.com. I thought it was odd that their ad  stated that reps would be marketing/advertising products for corporations in the racing and sporting industries!  Huh, Corporations in the racing and sporting industries in Houston????!!!!

Okay, this is odd.  1st red flag

2nd red flag.  To apply for the job I could contact Vicky or email my "copy/pasted" resume.  Attachments would not be opened

I also searched for bartending jobs, completely different field right?  Well guess who popped up with a job posting? Eventive Promotions (EPI) advertised that they were looking for managers, asst managers etc.  3rd red flag.

Eventive Promotions also sent me an email stating that after several candidates blah, blah, blah they thought that my experience was well suited for a position in their company. The email was identical to the one the other consumer, Cathy 8/2009, received.

After reading all the reports, I was curious to hear what they would say to me.  So just for kicks I called this morning to schedule an interview.  The man that answered the phone sounded very unprofessional.  I accidentally asked for Vicky, since this was the name on the actual ad, and the man stated that she was out to lunch.  I asked if I could schedule my interview with anyone else and he said "no Vicky handles all of this" to call back in 15 minutes.

After reviewing my email I noticed that the person who I was suppose to contact and also signed off the email  was a different person.  I called back about 20 mins later and no answer.  Tried again 2 hours later and again no answer.  Call went straight into voicemail both times.

According to all the reports Eventive Promotions and alias have been running this scam for years.  How is it possible that they can still get away with this?

I had a scheduled interview with them today, but I like to do a little research on each company before being interviewed. I am so glad I did! Thank you for these reports as I called and canceled my interview! I just knew something didn't feel right. I am a recent college grad having a hard time getting an entry level office position and their over-excitement at my mediocre college jobs (waitress, babysitter, and retailer) seemed too good to be true. Lol! So thanks!

#7UPDATE EX-employee responds

As a former employee of yours and of Kyle Ball's, I must say that the man who posted this report about your company is absolutely right. You were the absolute most apallingly unprofessional group of people that I ever met in my life. A. Your company IS a pyramid scam. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone other than high school students with no bills to pay. B. The way you and Kyle acted constantly was completely, totally unprofessional and unacceptable. I'm surprised no one ever sued one of you for sexual harrassment or worse. The way you ranted and raved at Paul the day he had a blow out almost made him physically ill, and made me want to march back to the office that evening and beat you to a senseless pulp. Your language and behavior in the office is abusive and unprofessional. C. How you approached the other managers that moved in to the building we were operating out of was absolutely atrocious. We were reprimanded if we spoke congenially with the other manager or her employees. One morning we were standing out side the building smoking and Kyle hurled his coke bottle at the new manager's car. Kind of ungrateful behavior since you were renting the building from their company. D. And just for the record, I quit.

#8REBUTTAL Owner of company

Tue, May 09, 2006

Most of the information in the arictle is false, since Eventive Promotions does not even part take in free fingerprinting as well as other facts that "BOB" could not get right. "BOB" decided he wanted to slander my company which is fine if that is what he choses to do!! The rep in the article has been fired due to unethical behavior since we do not handle that type of behavior well. Eventive Promotions is not a Pyramind scheme, we offer a management training!! We offer and opportunity to people who has the abilty to learn, great work ethic and a positive attitude. We here at EPI feel that a degree is great and will help you get through our program quicker by why not give a chance to that person that couldnt afford the degree. I would really appreicat it that anyone that is applying with our company and reads this article please visit our website at www.eventive-promotions.com or call us with questions thanks Jim Krawczyk C.E.O.
