Epson America warranty ripoff defective printers Long Beach California
I have a Epson Stylus CX5400 and it is still under warranty and has been determined to be defective by their telephone support technicians.
They stated that they would send me a replacement printer and I will return the defective printer with a prepaid return label.
I had to give a credit card number in case I did not return the old printer and that it would not be charged unless I did not return the old printer.
I received a call from them stating they would have to charge $135 to my card as a security deposit, which is absolutely absurd for a product that is defective and under warranty service. All other manufacturers just honor their warranty and will bill you if the defective product is not returned.
I will never buy another Epson Printer again and wish I never did
