My first day I joined ebay I was browsing televisions and accidentally clicked on a very hard to miss buy it now button thinking it would show me an actual price before condemming me into buying the product. I contacted the seller (recomended by ebay to do so first) 2 times to explain what happened and was verbally abused by him and could not get one word in, so I decided to contact ebay and notify them of the accident.

Note: This seller is a long time user of ebay inc. and generated alot of money for ebay.

I sent ebay at least 20 messages using ebay's contact information and message system I never recieved a response at all in regards to my problem. The next day I recieved an email hat my account was shut down for disrupting an auction and ebay is attempting to charge my girlfriends credit card or my paypal account. The seller has had no reprimand what so ever and continues to call and harass me.

Derrik 1) they would close your ebay account because you didn't pay for severa ebay auctiosn you bid on. That means your a chronic non-paying bidder / or you're a bad seller, that doesnt' deliver as described items in your auction, or you take the money and never sell them. To get suspended, that means you defrauded at least three people by not paying the sellers or by defrauding buyers. You got what you deserved. 2) Buy it now has NEVER EVER Worked the way you described it. THERE IS ALWAYS A CONFIRMATION screen saying "YOU ARE COMMITING TO BUY THIS " item. That means in order to buy it YOU HAVE TO click yes twice. That's what you did. Too bad. 3) of course the SELLER isn't going to be nice to you. YOU ruined his/her auction, deprving him/her of selling it to someone serious in buying it. That means yOU costed him/her time and MONEY. IT isn't free for sellers to use ebay. They have to pay listing fees, and end of auction fees. None of thse will be returned to him/her because YOU decided to be dumb about it. 4) ebay has nothing to do with your problem. A bid is a BINDING contract, and since yOU bid and AGREED to that bid, you are CONTRACTED to send the money to the sller. All ebay sees is that YOU have to pay. and nothing they say or do will change that fact. 5) oh yeah, sure we believe that a seller would threaten you. That's the same bs story all scamming buyers use (oh the seller treated me like crap.) 6) You've proven to be the idiot in this case.

Well first of all, I wish you are right about the slap on the wrist, but you are not in this particular case. They closed my account for a reason that I dont know. All I know is the very forst day I was browsing the items, I accidentally clicked on the buy it now button and it locked me into a purchase I did not want to make! I called the seller once and attampted to contact him via ebays message system which they suggest to do when this happens, The person was rude, unprofessional and cursed at me several times. Then I attempted to contact ebay at least 20 times and never recieved a response. The seller called me at least 15 times with personal threats and bodily harm. In the morning I logged in to my email acount and recieved a message that my account has been closed for disrupting an auction! I attempted to contact ebay several times with no response at all! Also they sent me an email and message that if I did not pay fees they would automatically charge my girlfriends credit card or my paypal account! No lies in this issue here budy! Ebay sucks and are a bunch of rip off cons, they left his account open and he continues to sell on ebay. I honestly believe it is because this person is generating decent revenue on listing fees from this person and he has been a member for quite sometime, I reviewed his feed back and I am not the only person that has had an issue with this idiot!

Everything that you have written about ebay is completely false. What you claim CANNOT happen on ebay. First off all, after you click buy it now, you have to confirm it on the next page as Dave pointed out. Second you can't be kicked off ebay for not paying for one auction, it takes a series of non-payment complaints against you. And last, there is NO WAY ebay can get into your PayPal account unless you have a SELLER'S account and you have it automatically set up to pay your SELLER'S fees. Robert, I think for the sake of yourself and everybody on ebay that may potentially get burned by you, you better STAY OFF EBAY FOREVER!! Oh and by the way if the seller is harassing you as you claim, if it is coming through ebay's message system, there is a box in the e-mail where it says you can report unsolicited or harassing e-mails. And if it is by phone, report him to his local police. But honestly, I think you made that part up to try to help you phony story. One last thing, would you mind providing your ebay ID so I know who to put on my blocked bidders list! LOL!

First of all, when you hit the Buy It Now, it DOES give you a second chance to confirm your transaction! It doesn't just automatically end the auction. Second of all, all you get is a slap on the hand for not completing the sale. (First offense). Third of all, how is ebay trying to charge you for an auction. They CANNOT do that, the don't do that, and it's ILLEGAL to do that. You have to work it out with the seller on how to pay for an auction, ebay does not get involved on payment for an auction, period! You must have nothing better to do then bash Ebay for something that 1, they didn't do, and 2, you made the mistake. Next time, make sure you tell this to people that don't have a clue what ebay is, they might buy it then!
