Earny is a service that monitors purchases and contacts the merchant if the price drops within the merchants price adjustment period. They charge 25% of the savings secured as a fee. 

In July of 2017, I purchased an item from Nordstrom. Earny allegedly tracked the purchase and got me a refund from Nordstrom for the different in price. I never received any notification of this from Earny, had no idea they secured me a savings or that any money was owed. 

In August of 2017, I returned the item that Earny had secured a price adjustment on to Nordstrom, who refunded me the full amount. Still unaware of the ‘savings’ secured by Earny.

Earny then charged me their 25% fee in MAY of 2018 – 10 months later! I contacted them immediately when I saw the charge pending, sent them proof from Nordstrom that the item was returned, and they did not respond for a month. When they did respond, they stated that it was ‘too late’. I did not KNOW they were going to charge me until May of 2018, so there would be no reason to contact them in August of 2017 for a refund when I had not been charged. I was never notified in 2017 of the ‘savings’ they secured. 

As they charge a fee for obtaining savings, that fee is null & void if the item is returned, as no money is saved. I have included correspondence and proof of refund.
