Bad Apartments, Bad Customer Service, Will make you wait all day to resolve a problem, but always (3 times) say we cannot help.

I travel a lot.  A LOT.   And in addition to traving throuogh 85 countries in 5 years - I stay in Kiev, Ukraine very often.  

Amazing city and usually the experience is good.  Sometimes not perfect, but always seem to find companies that have good customer service and will quickly solve problems.   (Hotels.com, Priceline, Expedia, AirBnB, Orbitz, etc)  

BUT THAT IS NOT WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM "DOBOVO.COM"   Or from companies they are in businss with:  RentApartment.Kiev.UA  and  they also run another company called PartnerGuestHouse.com. Guessing they would have same process.

It's winter here, and even if you tell them "in advance" - don't stick me in a COLD APARTMENT (they would give me the keys in evening and then close - so no way to correct problem.  They will do it anyway.  I was left with a very small soccer ball size heater for a large apartment.  Froze my butt off all night.  Tried to sleep with a hairdryer keeping warm under blankets.

This is NOT a problem of Kiev or the building.  They have no heat properly heating apartments.   And the hot water heater also does not work.  

So - yes, they screwed me for the night.  But - things happen.  No one is perfect, not even me.  So I went to the office then next day at noon and said - I don't want your frozen apartment again for any more nights.  I will pay for the one frozen night that you promised me it would be warm.  But I want a refund for the other nights.

The response?  NO.    No cancellations.  No Refunds.

I tried to negotiate, tried to reason, tried to warn them I would post them on the RipOffReport - they did not seem to care.

Wow...  I was even willing to pay for the frozen night, but would properly want a refund for the other nights.

So - I had my bank cancel ALL charges.   And I am writing on the RipOffReport to hopefully prevent a few other travelers from making the same mistake.

 

DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY.

THEY WILL "NOT" REFUND YOUR MONEY IF YOU ARE STUCK IN A CRAP APARTMENT

THERE ARE NO GUARANTEES THAT THE PHOTOS ARE "REAL" OR IF THE PHOTOS ARE 20 YEARS AGO.

Things happen in business.   And in the hotel / apartment business obviously.  It happens.  That is not a problem.  

That is where customer service comes in.

BUT - There is NO EXCUSE for bad customer service AND stealing money from a customer when they don't want to stay at your bad property.   Good companies like Hotels.com, Orbitz, Priceline, Expedia and more understand customer service brings a customer back again and again.   This company has NO CLUE when they are bad in customer service and then also want to steal your money on a bad rental you don't want to stay at any more.

 

DON'T USE THIS COMPANY - unless you want to keep warm with a hair dryer or deal with other problems - knowing they don't care once they have your money online.

 

STAY AWAY FROM DOBOVO.COM    RENTAPARTMENT.KIEV.UA    AND PARTNERGUESTHOUSE.COM

I talked to several people:

Andrii Timur - apparently the owner of the apartment.  He was an idiot.  His response was - "NOT MY PROBLEM" and said he would not refund (he had taken 1/2 the money and Dobovo took the other 1/2).   He said go to Dobovo and get refund. Talking to him - I reailzed I was taking to a bug with "0" IQ

I did called Dobovo.com - but as I stated - they apparently have NO CUSTOMER SERVICE experience except to say    NO REFUND to everything.

Specifically I talked to Michael Ostrovsky and Titiana Padalka of Dobovo.com.  They were not much better.  

I wanted to see how much effort of customer service they would do - NOTHING.  

I honestly at this point did not care about losing the small amount of money.  I was just shocked how BAD these guys are about customer service.

These idiots spent ALL DAY discussing and checking with upper management only to decide NO REFUND.  On on such a small amount of money.  And it was obvious I was a bit upset over how cold the apartment was and no hot water.

But it was a JOKE they spent ALL DAY (8 HOURS) discussing and contacting me to advise:

NO REFUNDS - EVEN IF APARTMENT IS "BAD" AND YOU DON'T STAY THERE ANYMORE.

DON'T STAY WTIH THESE GUYS.   THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR QUALITY OF TRIP AND STAY.

THEY DO NOT HAVE A CLUE THAT THEY CAN "DESTROY" YOUR TRIP ENTIRELY BY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE.   TEACH THEM A LESSON - BY NOT USING THEM.  MAYBE ONE DAY THEY WILL REALIZE HOW IMPORTANT CUSTOMER SERVICE IS.

 

DON'T USE:  RentApartment.Kiev.UA(the owner of several apartments they manage) and their partner company PartnerGuestHouse.com (one mentality - obviously they will screw you with that company also)

THEY ALL need a BIG LESSON in how to treat their customers.  And realize decisions they make affect a person's vacation, romantic getaway or other basis for a trip.

They can make it or break it for you.    

DO NOT RISK USING THESE COMPANIES UNLESS YOU JUST LIKE TO TAKE CHANCES ON YOUR TRIP.
