Contacted Direct TV due to a letter they sent about free HD, made inquiries about the cost because I didn't want my bill of 115.83 to change, otherwise I would stay with the old receivers. Was given assurances that nothing would change with my bill, it would stay at 115.83 a month. Well the bill came the next month for 145.08, called again, next bill 177.44, so I cancelled 7 days after my service bill ended. So here comes the final bill for 447.95
They stuck me with a 420 dollar cancellation fee, which in my opinion should be illegal, plain and simple. I wish someone would challenge this unfair practice or ban them from doing business in the states. Direct TV and AT&T are the worst company's to deal with and they hire people whom you can't understand what they are saying and they lie to you. ripped me off

When YOU took the service, YOU were presented with an agreement. YOU didn’t even bother to READ what YOU agreed to. YOU simply signed the papers and agreed. Now you come here to cry and whine over what YOU agreed to but you blame them. This is nothing more than you not having the COMMON SENSE to read what you agreed to then like the rest of society, blaming someone else for what YOU caused!
