County financial services, is in the prosses of ripping us off, we purchesed a car through them in august of '07 and had no problems, untill we discovered that the warranty we had purchased with the car, also a part of the loan, was never active. We had approached the dealer and were initially told that we had received it for free. When we, after weeks of arguing, finally sent them a certified letter with all the the proof that we hadn't, they then told us to talk to the loan company,(county financial services).

Calling them was no help at all, every person you talked to said the same thing, that they couldn't change our loan and we'd have to go through the dealer. after going back and forth for almost three months at this point, we decided to file a claim in small claims court, and surprisingly this was encouraged by a supervisor and c.f.s..

Shortly after severed contact with the dealer and already have filed the claim, we get a random phone call from the dealer saying that the loan company had taken care of everything, and we were refunded in full for the warranty, i, now knowing what type of people we were dealing with, wasn't about to dismiss my claim without some sort of proof. i spoke with cfs and was told by a rep, that infact out account was altered, and paid down in the ammount of $1,360 and that we'd be good for a few months as far as our payments go. at this point we had only made a few payments on the vehical, and were pretty excited knowing that we'd have a little extra money for a few months.

Sadly to say it was short lived, that phone call was made about two weeks before our payment was due, about six days after the payment was due i receive a phone call from the same guy asking me where the payment was?..... ok, well i reminded him of what he had told me a few weeks prior, he then stated that "he made a mistake ,and money in our account didnt mean money towards a payment", and if i had any common sense i would have noticed that. well considering the fact that hes the only one looking at the account, and the only one who even has access to my account, how would i have known until he called! well, the phone call ended up in him hanging up on me, and it only got worse from that point on. after that every person we talked to was extremely rude, they make threats to repo our car, telling us we don't like to pay our bills, and call almost everyday asking to wire money, and wanting to know where "their" car is. at this point we are still trying to catch up on that one missed payment, a mistake that they admitted to making, and we still are receiving the threats. We had previously made a deal and got things taken care of, or so we thought, until the phone calls started again just a few days ago, asking where there payment was? we have receipts to cover all our tracks, but have never once received any sort of confirmation that our money is even going to pay for a car, all we ever get are envelopes with no return adress, about every other day stating something different everytime.

We are currently awaitng our court date that is on 01-25-08, for the whole thing with the warranty, and are going to talk to our district attorney this very day to follow up with the rest of this ridiculous way of doing business!

If anyone has any information on this sort of situation please let us know!

As an update to my last report about county financial services, we are indeed following through with this to court, but it wasn't easy it at this point taken a trip to anaheim to actually find them, they are not county financial services but in fact listed under automotive funding group, the owner is mitch leyton and are now located at 5255 e. hunter ave. anaheim, ca 92807 ,their new c.e.o. is a man named michael mcroberts. Although this was not easy info. to locate were hoping that it will all be worth it in the end, our trial date is set for march 14 '08 and if anyone one who has had problems with them in the past is willing to sign a affidavit your urged to contact us!! jenn selma, ca
