I was contacted by CSC and was told that I had bad credit, which is not true, I have inexperienced credit, I am young and haven't had time to establish credit. They told me that if I joined I would receive a $1000 limit credit card in the mail in about 14 days. They also promised me that I could get a new computer for FREE from HP if I signed up with MSN internet accesses for 2 years. All of that if I paid $229.00 up front.

After being badgered by three different people I finally agreed, my father needed a new computer, and I am already a member of MSN so I thought it would be ok, and I could make up the difference when I got the credit card.

A few days after the initial phone call from CSC and three days before the charge was to be taken out of my account, I called them and told them I changed my mind that I couldn't afford it right now. I explained to them that I was in a car wreck on the 1st on June and my medical bills where starting to pick up. Also I had just gotten my car out the body shop and the next day (the day I called CSC) my car wouldn't start. Another reason I needed that money. He said I had to call three days in advance. I informed him that it was, I called on Tuesday and that draft was to be taken out on Friday, he didn't agree with me that I called three days in advance, can't count I suppose.

When I received the packet in the mail, everything promised to me for my money was not true. All the computers where purchased with credit approval at a completely different companies web site. That was for the HP computer. The other offer was a generic brand computer with guaranteed credit approval when you pay $99.00 upfront. The financing on the HP was done through MBNA, and the declined me, which I found funny since MBNA approved me on a loan for an Apple computer. There was no credit card either, just banks that might give you one.

I then called CSC and told them that they lied and I wanted my money back. The man that I spoke to said it would take thirty days to refund me after they had the packet back. I sent the packet certified so I would know that they got it. I got the green slip back on the 11 of Aug 2002. It was received by them on the 7 of Aug 2002. The refund should have been released on the 9 of Sept, but has yet to be done. I tried filing with the BBB of Maryland, but they do not file with them, big surprise. I called CSC again and they could give me nothing, saying that they did not have any of the refund information and that I would just have to wait.
