Cash Direct Express - GECC GECC I paid back the 400 loan, but allegedly owe over 700 in interest? Harassed by rude collectors and in tears. Internet
I just got off the telephone with a rather nasty collector. He is attempting to collect over $700 in interest in order to settle my debt for my initial $400 cash direct loan. Just to provide a little background, I applied for and received a $400 loan from cash direct. One day my bank account was overdrawn and I did a little probing. I paid back cash direct over $560 and they continued to make withdrawals from my account in the strangest increments. The nasty collector informed me that he was only able to provide me with the validity of my debt; however, when I asked him how he was able to do so without providing me my initial contract, and sidenote he had no idea of what the initial contract said himself, his nasty and rude demeanor intensified. All he could ask me is if I was refusing to pay my debt. Since I thought I had already paid my debt, I tried to get this point across to no avail. I really don't remember reading interest fees would be more than half the loan itself, or it must have been in very very very small print. Beware this company. They will take money out of your account even after you have paid them back, and once you are wise to this and stop, they will sick the bloodhounds on you and claim you neglected to pay...my head is spinning...I'm not sure what percentage interest would be to constitute over $700 for a $400 loan.
