Unlike some of you, for my $43.00, I did get this card- trust me- you don't want it! I was led to believe I had been pre-approved for a Platinum Capitol ONE Bank Card... not even close! I don't think the two are even affiliated. This is no more a genuine credit card than I am The President of the United States! All it allows you to do is buy their merchandise, at their prices, from their catalog. Avoid this company... and if there is any class-action filed against them I am ready willing and able to join in...

As to a phone number for this company- there isn't one anywhere in the packet of information they sent me. You have to fill out a little white card, mail it to them and they (supposedly) will call you. They also charge more interest then they told me.

From their paper entitled:

Retail installment Agreement/ Credit Terms and Conditions/ Cost of Credit, it states: "The EXTENDED CREDIT CHARGE on your account is calculated by applying 1/12 of the annual Periodic Rate of 6% of the ending balance of your account. There is no minimum charge to accounts other than the normal computed charges." I was told it was a flat 6% and there was no fee for balance transfers... you can't make a balance transfer to this type of card. They lie! Avoid them!

One other thing this company does- it sells your personal information to other telemarketers. They even sold my bank account number, which they obviously got right off the check I sent them, because I certainly didn't GIVE it to them! I know this because another telemarketing company called with a "Congradulations on qualifying for your new platinum card with a $xxxx spending limit..." (they knew the amount this card was supposed to be worth) and proceded to flood me with "... Free trial offers..." which, if after the trial period I wanted to keep them were to be billed to this card and if I didn't want to keep I was supposed to be able to cancel... both account are WRONG! They took money directly from my bank account- and I had never even recieved the offered 'trial item'... and I am now fighting to get my money back.
