Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
This is a site that you bid on various items, I won the bid, paid by credit card (Bank of America),they also refused to credit my account, so if you have an account with them, I would suggest canceling it. BIDZ.COM refused to credit my account, even after repeated e-mails telling them I never recieved ANYTHING from them! If I did, I would have had to sign for it when it came thru the mail. I have brought many things over the internet before, but BIDZ.COM is truly a ripoff! Beware of BIDZ.COM! they don't even have a phone!

Chargeback Procedure Bidz.com, in good-faith, makes every effort to bring disputes that may arise to a fair and just conclusion. If customer does not make an attempt to resolve a dispute before initiating a chargeback procedure, their account will be deactivated immediately. If you have any questions regarding an invoice or a payment made, please call Bidz.com Customer Service at (310) 280-7373 or send an e-mail to [email protected] I have pasted the above information in regards to disputing a charge. This information was pasted from our HELP DESK under our Terms and Conditions. The best advice would be is to call BIDZ.com, as we treat each issue by a case by case scenario

CALL YOUR CREDIT CARD OR PAYPAL FOR MONEY THAT IS OWED TO YOU

Anybody with this problem call your credit card company or paypal. They will protect you, fine BIDZ, and refund your money and remove from Bidz account. Sure Bidz will discontinue your account, but so what at this point. Visa has told me if enough complaints are made they will eventually remove BIDZ from there merchant list. Lets see any sales company succeed without being able to accept VISA. Honest to God, when I called Visa and spoke with a lady, she knew exactly what company and Bidz was about. This is how bad it is with this company. I have already sent a letter a month ago after a month passed to the Attorney General when my dispute happened. If this company was ethical and honest, I would shop and recommend it to everyone. Hopefully one day they will be.

Your opinion is your opinion, I suggest if a customer does decided to use our Company, they should thoroughly read over our Help desk, verify if they like the services that we offer and then decide if BIDZ.com is what there interested in. A lot of times we I respond to customers there may feel I am hiding behind our HELP DESK, I am not I just really stand strong in regards to being a consumer and reading what is available to you. Over 1/2 of our complaints would have never existed if the customer would have taken the time to read over Terms and Conditions and its there for you to read. Online Services is very different from walking into -MACYS (for example) and having a live person there in front of to make eye contact , ask questions and interact with. Online our HELP DESK is our eye contacts with a customer untill the customer calls our call center for a more in depth conversation and confirm any questions the customer might have. So I do respect the mans opinion in regards to not doing business with us , I respect it I don't suggest it . I suggest anyone interested in doing business with BIDZ.com call our call center 800-444-8124, speak with one of our customer service reps and thoroughly go over our HELP DESK take the time to read every bullet that has information that is pertaining to YOU as a potential customer Hopefully after you have had time to read over our Website, verify our HELP DESK go over all our information, think about what it is you will be getting into and then make a decision as to rather you choose to be a part of BIDZ.com or not if BIDZ.com is not suited for you we appreciate the time you took to look over our site.

Bidz is great but you must read all details

I love shopping on Bidz and have spent nearly $25,000 there on hundreds of items this past year. I get great deals on quality merchandise which I resell at a profit. I strongly recommend reading all of the details on each listing and also on their internal links which provide all of the rules and info you need. And yes they do have a phone number posted on their site. I have called it numerous times but usually I just use their live chat help line which I have done many, many times. Important things to know: Shipping: You have 48 hours to report orders not delivered within their specified shipping times or they will not be responsible - this is posted information. Compare prices: They also note that these are not retail prices but simply prices that their vendors report are the highest prices that items have sold for on this and similar auctions. Because I spend so much time on Bidz sometimes just watching what others will pay, I can attest that some bidders don't know when to stop. Guess they want the item badly but I know they are paying too much. It is an auction and that happens just the same as people also get incredible deals on items. I've seen the same item at different times with huge differences in what the different bidders have paid for the same thing. Retail Prices: When retail prices are shown, I have checked them out and found them to be 100% reliable. Appraised prices: This is the one to really watch out for as I have bought items that appraised by my jeweler for significantly less than their vendor's appraisal. Also, there is no signature/certification with their appraisals. Never rely on their vendor appraisals! I am sure they would take them back when presented with my appraisals but I have never done that because I still got the items so far below my own appraisals - still incredible deals! Customer Service: It is wonderful. The reps are knowledgeable and friendly and always helpful. I've asked numerous times to remove items I won and was able to get satisfaction. Pictures: Never rely on pictures as a representation of size. Always check the listing particulars. Pictures are magnified up to 30 times with some items magnified more and less than others. Items are magnified to an extent to show fine details. I've been caught by this as, for example, you might buy two pairs of earrings that from the pictures appear to be the same size but one item may be smaller than the other. So now I make sure I read the print details on size. Second chance offers: Also watch your bill for second chance offers. If you bid on an item an lose it closely to another bidder, you may still find it on your order listed as "sco" for second chance offer. These are added to your bill automatically and I didn't realize it for some time and bought lots of items that way. I usually wanted them and was glad to get them but that is not always the case. Sometimes, I stopped bidding just in time because I realized something about the item that made me withdraw or sometimes, given a limited amount I can spend, I bid and won other items so that the added scos put me over my allotment. If you see scos on your bill and don't want them, just connect to live chat before you pay and ask for them to be removed from your order. Exceptions to policy???: Because I buy to resell, I do inspect the items when received but obviously something may go wrong with them once they are actually put to the test of handling/wear. I have one item like that that I bought a couple of months ago - it broke when I was putting it up on a display and upon inspection I found a flaw that I think caused the breakage. I am going to try to return the item but I fall outside the rules for return time. It will be interesting to see if they will make an exception. They certainly should and I think they will. General: I really have confidence in Bidz. If you are consumer saavy and follow my suggestions, I think you would rarely be disappointed. I do think there are some problems as Bidz relies on info from their jewelry and other vendors and uses vendor info in listings. The appraisal thing really bothers me! Bidz is open to suggestions and concerns (suggestion link provided) which I understand are read by top management. Compared to buying on places like eBay where there are so many sellers, Bidz is a thousand percent more reliable. I just bought 20 items on ebay that were advertised as 18K gold and they turned out to be 18K gold plate! In my experience, this doesn't happen on Bidz! Let the buyer beware: Just remember - this is an auction site - not a retail store. If you paid too much or have problems with returns, you probably did so because you didn't read all the rules and other info. Especially with auctions, the old rule of caveat emptor applies. So you have to take responsibility for your own ignorance. However, since nothing is perfect, I am sure there are occasions when complaints, such as I am responding to, are truly legitimate. So I am not doubting this complainant but just imparting my knowledge in hopes that it is helpful. My comments mainly apply to Bid jewelry and gift (which consists of many vendors) items and not their other vendors whose auctions are listed separately on the Bidz site. Customer service with one of their vendors, Quality Art, falls way short but I have gotten great deals on art and collectibles from them! I have used some of their other vendors with great success - wonderful folks to deal with. Bidz bidding and buying is a learning process. I have picked quite a few boners but overall am delighted with my purchases and the value for my dollar spent on Bidz.
