Bidz.com does not follow its own shipping policy overcharging everyone per order of regular items at least Culver City California
Bidz.com is an auction website of primarily jewelry. They do have some other items. However, I won several items at different times and checked out and paid for the items. I made the mistake of not checking the shipping policy until recently. An irresponsible mistake.
I wanted to bid on numerous items at once for Christmas, so I checked the policy for combined shipping and this is when I realized I had been overcharged in the past, on shipping by $3.00 per order. I had been overcharged all together $21.00 for past orders.
The shipping policy is as follows:

Bidz products are separated into 4 different categories:
Bidz items are small high-value items such as earrings, bracelets, necklaces, rings, eyewear, accessories and some watches that may be shipped together. Limit 30 items per invoice.
Gift Items are items that may come individually packaged and are too large or bulky to be accommodated by our standard shipping rates. Limit 3 items per invoice.
Collectible Items are large bulky items that are packaged individually and can not be shipped with other items due to size restriction. Limit of 1 Collectible item per invoice.
Wholesale Items are items sold in Lots. Limit of 1 Lot per invoice. They may not be combined with any other item(s) or orders.
Bidz Items - US Delivery
Bidz items shipping rates are determined by merchandise value and apply for USPS and FedEx orders. Limit 30 per order.

Up to $300.00 $7.95 + $3.00 handling charge per item
$300.01 - $999.99 $9.95 + $3.00 handling charge per item
*USPS Priority normally takes 2-3 days in transit and up to 5 business days processing

(No PO Box delivery. No Saturday Delivery)
$1000.00 - $1999.99 $34.95 + $3 handling for each additional item
$2000.00 - 4999.99 $45.95 + $3 handling for each additional item
$5000.00 - 7999.99 $69.95 + $3 handling for each additional item
$8000.00 - up $99.95 + $3 handling for each additional item
** FedEx Standard Overnight normally takes 1 day in transit and 1-2 business days for processing.

Gift items shipping rates are based on dimensional weight and not merchandise value. These items are too large or bulky to be accommodated by our standard shipping rates. Shipping charges may be found on item description page. Limit 3 per order. When gift items are combined shipping charge is based on the highest rate of the 3 items and $5.00 handling for each additional item. Gift items may not be combined with Bidz items.

As you see above regular shipping for items up to $300.00 is $7.95 plus $3.00 for each additional item. However, upon check out there is no shipping choice below $10.95. I have chatted with thier live representatives. One who did not know the shipping policy and finally agreed that I was right and that she had repaired the problem but had not. A second person who also claimed that she repaired the problem and "hung up on me." And a third person who just did not respond. I have emailed them four times, and have had no response. I have not been given a refund or not so much as an apology.
The reason I am writing this however, is simply to warn others. Know before you bid the shipping is whatever they want it to be and you are bound to purchase the item and pay the shipping no matter how much they charge you for "shipping and handling" on the way out. One thing is for sure, a lot of people haven't noticed or they would have been forced to change it. If they overcharge every order by $3.00 imagine the income that generates everyday. They have thousands of orders a day.
Three dollars may not seem like much, and some will say I am being petty. However, I once investigated a credit card fraud case in my job that made a criminal a millionaire in six months. He only took $1.00 from each credit card. None of the card holders noticed, until the credit card company caught it.

The information disclosed above is correct, as well as the charges disclosed on your orders. If you are in the US and or Canada and your order is under $300.00, the shipping fee is $7.95, the handling fee for each item is $3.00. When you are checking out, our most economic shipping method is Priority mail, so when you select that shipping method, it will state $10.95, which is the $7.95 shipping fee and the $3.00 handling fee for the first item on your order, you are then charged and additional $3.00 handling fee for each additional item. For example, if you purchase one item and select Priority Mail shipping then you will only be charged $10.95 not $13.95. You may review your past orders and see what you were actually charged.
