Bidz.com charged me for a nondelivered canceled order and than spun me again and again in emails, Yelled at me on the phone and finally gave me 1/3 of the refund, still claiming something else completely vague to every reply. Mean, dishonest, crooks, and Paypal refused me a claim - told me to do one thing in a email and when I did than said sorry mam wrong...your claim is denied because of just what they told me to do...This has been going on almost 2 months. Both Bidz.com and Paypal have a system of answering my emails as if they are answering some other problem that does not even address the one at hand. They know how to put someone through a emotional rollercoaster. Its like talking and writing to a socialopathic machine.

There are several factors that go into consideration on the BBB. We have left no submission unanswered on the BBB

Consider our numbers - 4.5 million can't be wrong

To address some of the concerns listed here, I will provide statistical evidence that Bidz.com is not in the business of inflicting any kind of harm on our customers, be it monetary, emotional or otherwise. Bidz.com has been in business since 1997. Between then and now, we have accumulated 4.5 million registered users on Bidz.com. If we compare the number of complaints listed here to our user base, the vast majority of users are very happy, indeed. Many users never experience any problems with Bidz.com. Also consider the types of complaints that are listed. On the whole, they are complaints about shipping charges, returns, and lost packages. All of these complaints, while valid, are usually remedied by consulting the help section. Shipping prices and methods, a review the returns policy guidelines, and instructions on contacting our claims department is all listed here. In each response you will see that we try to provide links directly to this information to allow all customers to see that we are not hiding any information. It is the responsibility of the consumer to seek this information as it is our responsibility to provide it. We hope that you are not discouraged by these reports as they represent less than a fraction of our usual business.

I don't get it

I am a customer of Bidz.com and if I had come here first I never would have ordered from them. I have had nothing but good luck with them and am appalled at everything that I am reading here. I have never been charged just to bid and all of the product that I have purchased has been exactly as described. I agree that the shipping and handling can be a bit steep, but I always figure that cost in when I am bidding on an item. Also you can save money on shipping if you purchase more than one item at a time. Then there is always shopping after midnight (my time) and you get free shipping and handling. My sister is visiting and I introduced her to Bidz and she has gone hog-wild ordering from them. I am a little nervous now to go back on from all of the horror stories, but they have done nothing but treat me right. Too many bad experiences have been reported to brush this one off, I may have to re-evaluate doing business with these folks.

We would hope all customers receive what they're entitled to

We hope to provide a response to this report so that our customers will understand that Bidz.com is a legitimate business with the interest of the customer and the company in mind. Unfortunately, the information provided by the Rip Off Report is not sufficient to pinpoint the user's account nor the details of the issue at hand, but suggestions can be made to ensure customers, present and future, are never made to feel 'victimized' by Bidz.com. To receive a specified rebuttal, please include listing/invoice numbers in any future complaints. I am pleased to hear we were able to diagnose the issue at hand and issue a refund accordingly. Though an item was unshipped, there are still processes that must be compensated for. On cancelled, unshipped items, we may retain the transaction fee because the transaction did take place as well as a secondary transaction to refund the payment. Many times, a package has already been sent to the shipping department which means it is packed and labeled for shipping. When an order is cancelled, we must "undo" all this work and because of that, we do retain a percentage of the transaction. We do hope, however, that our customers contact us first with any disagreements concerning refunds for cancelled items. It is also advantages to be very specific and direct with the query, as many issues are answered incorrectly due to lack of specification.

I decided to try 3 more emails to Bidz. Well one of them got through to someone that understood. I was called and they told me they would give me the full refund and it came. A long process but it worked out.

I to bought items on bidz that I did not receive. After more than 10 emails and four phones calls I gave up. Fortunately I was only ripped off $14.00. My time is worth more than that and I decided to let it go. I will NEVER buy from their site again. Believe me I also told everyone I could think of about the problem. I am sticking with eBay.

You were lucky to get any money back. I recently sent for an item I never got, was paid from PayPal and they never got any money back for me.
