Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I have been monitoring the sales of the GENEVE MENS BRAND NEW GENTS WATCH CRAFTED IN SOLID 14K YELLOW GOLD 26.6 GRAMS for over a month now.At Bidz.com. They sell an average of $25,000.00 a week of this item alone. It comes in 26.6 or 26.4 or 26.2 grams of solid 14k gold. Or so they describe it. Go to Bidz.com and see for yourself. These watches have no where near 26.6 or 26.4 or 26.2 grams of gold in them. This is the weight of the WHOLE WATCH,not the gold weight. I have contacted them numerous times and have told them they were lying and decieving the customers and they say they will address it but they never have and never will.I really want to file a lawsuit against these scumbag lyers and thieves and have them thrown under the jail. The death penalty would be nice! This is just one item alone. Many other items are misrepresented and some of the items even have stainless steel on the backs instead of gold and they still give the weight of the gold as 26.6,4 or 2 grams See for yourself! If any of you want to help file a lawsuit against these watchcrafters then let me know. They must be stopped and stopped now!!! David and Mariya Zinburg, your time is coming. You have tried to decieve the wrong person.Oh,guess what bidz.com, As you know I have not bought one of these watches from you.Others have and I have contacted everyone selling these watches as 26.6 grams on ebay and other sites and they know they have been decieved and they are coming for you as well.Ha! Go dig your corporate grave Bidz you dug yourself a whole and now you will lay in it. Get it? LAY, AS IN KEN.ANY ONE INTERESTED IN FILING A CLASS ACTION LAW SUIT EMAIL ME AT [email protected] This is serious and must be done as quickly as possible, innocent men women and children are being victimized by this company. Thanks.

I am getting so fed up with the total stupidity of customer service at Bidz. Where do you get those people??? I just found out after a week of trying to bid that they have put a new showcase at the home page. NO ONE in customer service had enough sense to explain this to me and has said everything but that.!! I am glad I do this for fun because if it were business I would be totally bankrupt!! Please Felicia, don't respond to this with some idiot rebuttal because it only makes you look stupid.Someone at Bidz needs to get some good old fashioned common sense!!!GOOD GRIEF!!!!So forget my last post but know this if you shop Bidz. THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE PEOPLE ARE WAAAAAAAAAY OUUUUUT THEEEEERE!!!!

Bidz won't let me bid in 3 minute auctions!!!!

Well, I guess they are getting revenge for me telling the truth. They have erased my bid section so that I cannot win in the 3 minute auctions and customer service doesn't even know about it.I have won 25 auctions at real cheap prices so they stopped me from bidding in the auction by not allowing the bid section to come up. They have told their customer service department to say it is my computer but I can't get it on ANY computer. I have only one expression for David and Mariya Zinberg, AH !!! WHAT GOES AROUND WILL COME AROUND!!

Bidz Has Done The Right Thing!!!!!!! Good People!!!

Bidz has changed it's item description to more accurately reflect the items true value. And the item is still selling at the same price which is good because it has not hurt at all to do the right thing!!! I commend them for having done this as it will allow their customers to make a more informed decision before they bid. Good customer relations as well. I hope that Bidz will continue this practice of putting the customer first and that they will prosper abundantly in their business. Customers should be well informed about items and descriptions and familiar with how this site works before bidding as they instruct on their site and if you are informed about the process you can save on many items and obtain them at a good bargain price. Thanks Bidz!! Good Luck!!!

Here we go again! Re clarification of Bidz "mistake"

#5Author of original report

Well, I personally am trying to be nice and respectful about this. But I just can't let you just keep on trying to justify your actions at Bidz. You are correct in the statement that you have never stated the difference on your site between total weight of the Geneve WATCH!!{not a ring, but a watch} and the weight of the gold contained in the watch itself. THATS THE PROBLEM!!!! You should have!!! Your descriptions decieve people automatically into thinking that the watch contains 26.6 grams of gold by the way and method that you have it advertised on the auction site. Even though I may be the one who brought it to your attention,I have contacted several resellers of this watch and they ALL- ALL- ALL- were shocked and even argued with me at first that these watches did weigh 26.6 or 26.4 or 26.2 grams of 14k gold. Gold only! I had to convince several of them to have the gold content checked and sure enough they were shocked in disbelief that Bidz would do such a thing. Many are in contact with me now and are furious about it and several want to sue Bidz. I doubt that you can be sued successfully because you are smart enough to know that willful intent would be costly to prove but I personally believe it was knowing and willful on someones part and they just thought no one would ever complain about it, because resellers of these watches do profit if they also let or lead others to believe it contains 26 grams of solid gold. The bottom line is this: Now you know!!! You have said that you will indicate that the weight described will be the TOTAL WEIGHT OF THE WATCH. Thats all I have asked of you because I have not bought one of these watches myself because I knew better when I saw a stainless steel back on the watch described as solid gold!! If you did not intentionally do this or if the ones responsible did not intentionally do this, then at least they need to be fired immediately for being so totally irresponsible and uncaring about what the customer may percieve as a swindle. If it looks like a duck,it probably is a duck!Right now there is another watch on your site, a gold nugget mens watch, that absolutely has no mention of stainless steel in it ,on it,or around it,and it has a solid stainless steel back on it!!! Now that may be legal?? I don't know? But I tell you what,it sure smells of dishonesty and lack of moral integrity if you ask me and some of your other resellers.. Hey ,I'm on your side Bidz. I want you to make billions and bless this nation. I want to make billions and bless this nation. But as long as you continue to sqaubble and deny and cover up your mistakes and blame me as being the lone ranger of this complaint then your business will start digressing. All I have asked is that you do the right thing whether you meant to do the wrong thing or not. Just change the descriptions to let the people know that 26 grams is the total weight of the watch before they bid on it thinking that it is worth a lot more than it actually is. It will only help your business and everyone involved. Read these other complaints on this site and accept the customers point of view whether you believe it or not and ask yourselves what can you do to maintain a business that may help turn these angry people into happy customers. Some of these complaints are ridiculous, but most of them have legitimate concerns about the ethics and morality involved in the writing of these descriptions.Don't let the love of money blind you to the true honesty that you owe your customers because they put food in your mouth. So stop writing these rebuttals and take your foot out of your mouth and do the right thing. Please?? To: Bidz.Com Customers. If Bidz does change these descriptions and is fair and honest with you, It is my sincere wish that you will buy and trade with them as much and as often as you can and that you become loyal customers to them and promote their site! I will do the same.

More clarification on our mistake

#6UPDATE Employee

Wed, October 04, 2006

The issue that has spawned this complaint and subsequent changes involves the way we report the weight of the items on our site. At no time did we advertise "Gold Weight" in our showcase presentation. The item description merely said "Weight" (meaning total weight) and was found directly below the gold measurements. This area includes "item, make, material, and weight" and never indicated that it was describing the gold of the ring exclusively. The change that is planned is intended to more accurately describe and separate the "Total Weight" and the "Gold Weight". As stated before, we realize the point our customer brought to our attention concerning this sort of unintentional ambiguity. However, it must be said that this was not a deception and we have never received this kind of response to the way our listings appeared so we had assumed it was clear. We are thankful for the opportunity to implement a customer-driven idea.

Customers trying to work with Bidz.com amicably

#7Author of original report

Bidz .Com has contacted me through email and has let me know that they have acknowledged mistakes on their site and has promised their customers that they will from now on reflect the accurate gold weight of their products.Previously,I have explained to customer service that I cannot be contacted by telephone to discuss this issue and I gave them my email address several times and have called them several times as well but could not get a proper response. This violation though was so obvious and so transparent to the eye that I personally cannot regard their descriptions as having been an innocent mistake and that alone is enough to make any decent and honest minded consumer digress into a "tirade" We are talking about a $25,000.00 a week "mistake" here, involving hundreds of customers. Even though Bidz has promised to correct this mistake they have done so in an arrogant, condescending and halfhearted manner, only to defend themselves without any REAL concerns for their customers. Also at this time there are other description "mistakes" in their advertising of items that I have not brought to their attention but am waiting to see if these item descriptions change as well without consumers having to persuade them to change them. If Bidz .Com improves in consumer relations and customer service and strives to offer its customers fair and honest service and products then I will be the first to commend them and promote their site just as ardently and passionately as I have opposed them. This has yet to be seen and I will keep you posted as to the outcome so that you may judge for yourselves. I sincerely hope that Bidz .Com will do the right thing and that its owners and investors and customers will prosper in person and in business. Thanks.

Customer cooperation is crucial

#8UPDATE Employee

We hope to explain to our customers that our site is constantly growing and changing. Our business is dynamic and that means we are constantly learning from our customers. We evaluate all suggestions and commentary. The important thing to remember in situations like these, where customers believe they have caught us in a lie or conducting fraudulent business is that we do not intend to deceive anyone. If this were the case, Bidz.com would have not lasted almost 10 years in this market. This case in particular is a good example of how cooperative, constructive comments and suggestions are best presented in a positive, informed way. Customers who feel they have valuable input to contribute to our business are more than welcome. This simply cannot be done in an angry, demanding tirade. The customer saw we listed the item's weight just under the gold information, and that it could be construed as gold weight. We do acknowledge this was confusing. As a result, we are in the process of changing the format of our listings. We have assumed this is what the customer is trying to ask us to improve upon and our technical department has responded with changes. This change to the way we do our business could have been implemented and considered last week, had we had the means to contact him to discuss. Unfortunately, when asked for his personal contact info so that a supervisor could speak to him about his concerns, the customer refused to be contacted. With this lack of cooperation, it was difficult for immediate changes to be made at his specific request. WE ASK ALL CUSTOMERS: Please consider when reviewing this and other scathing comments that often times we may require information from a customer or there is some rift in communication. Unfortunately, customers are rarely willing to help us contact them or resolve the issue amicably. The whole ordeal is frustrating on the customer's part as well as on Bidz.com. Every issue that is presented to us through Rip Off Report will be investigated. Please. Please provide information when posting complaints.
