Firstly I wish to apologise for the length of this report but I want to give a clear and unbiased report. Anyone who is considering shopping at Bidz.com should read this!

I have been shopping at Bidz.com for some time now and considered myself a good customer who was relatively happy shopping with them. I found that as long as your questions to the help desk were straight forward they provide fair to excellent customer service, depending on the person you were chatting with.

The majority of purchases I have made I have been relatively happy with although I strongly believe that some items I have purchased have not quite been what was described but due to the price I paid I was not willing to have them professionally checked out and couldn't be bothered with the trouble of returning them.

In some cases I have had damaged items sent and I have returned them with a full refund being given with no problem. So much for the good about Bidz.

I have had two instances where I have found Bidz to have extremely poor customer service. In one instance I had a return credited to my account instead of a refund and I had a terrible time getting them to apply it to my purchases. It took numerous live chat sessions until I finally chatted with a customer service officer who actually took an interest in helping me and then it was quickly sorted. Many of the customer service officers tend to ignore your concerns and reply with what appear to be standard responses in situations that are even slightly concerned with a complaint, many of which don't even come close to addressing your concerns. Is this very frustrating.

Recently I received an shipment and one of the items I purchased, (which was at a particularly good price) was not sent but another item was in it's place. This item was probably worth what I paid but was not worth anything near what I bid on and won.

I contacted customer service and was issued an RMA# and told that I would get a full refund if it did not match the description. On asking if I could obtain the item I purchased I was told that they may be able to supply it if they had plenty in stock but emphasised the fact I may receive a full refund. I have never seen another item the same as the one I purchased so I emailed [email protected] with my request for the item I purchased and added photos of the item I should have received as well as the one I did receive. I received no reply to this email.

After some days passed I contacted live chat help and was firstly ignored outright by one customer service officer when I relayed my problem and when I tried again I was given standard answers that seemed to ignore the questions I was asking. I was about to give up on the possibility of getting the item I purchased when I noticed that the photo appearing against my item I ordered but did not receive now showed the item I did receive.

This alarmed me and I contacted Bidz live chat. I was asked to email them with the problem. I was now concerned that since the photo had been altered, if I returned the item, they may say that it was as described and not refund a full 100% including return shipping costs. I contacted Bidz numerous times by Live Chat help and by email and received no response to my concerns. I will not return the item now as do not feel confident they will refund on this item in full and am very concerned about the strange way they altered the photo on the item I originally ordered. Due to the poor customer service I will not be shopping at Bidz in future!

If you consider shopping at Bidz, be aware that if you do not get the item you ordered, it appears they leave you high and dry!

For readers information: Bidz on another posting on this website have now resorted to telling untruths in an attempt to discredit me with other readers. They have accused me of threatening their staff and families which is totally ridiculous as I am very pleasant to all customer service staff no matter how frustrated I am with the situation. I believe that abusing someone will get you nowhere and most of the time the customer service officer is only following company policy and procedures. As I responded on the other posting that their allegations were untrue, they have now compounded these untruths with an additional untruth that they have phoned me and discussed the matter. This is totally false! WARNING! DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY! THEY ARE TOTALLY UNETHICAL IN DEALING WITH THEIR CUSTOMERS!

I have been told they are less willing to work with international customers because they know most of them won't go the extra effort or make the hassle due to the high cost of shipping international and custom fee's. They use that to there advantage. I'm not confirming they do, but by all the horrible experiences people have had along with myself, I wonder if those are really "accidents."
