To make a long story short - I fell 3 months behind in morgtgage with M&T Bank. Bayview took over my loan and offered a "modifiation" -which I denied and opted to go with a 6-month payment arrangment instead. I gave Bayview all I had, which was approximately $3000.00 towards my dept -and from there we started a payment plan for the balance. Even though I gave a substantial downpayment -Bayview overcharged me by $600.00 per month. I strongly believe they did so, with hopes of my not being able to afford or make the payments on time.
It was a VERY stressful, but I was able to make the payments and hold on to my home. When I completed the payments -Bayview tried to find another reason not to release my loan back to M&T Bank, I was transferred from person to person -all telling me about some "other fees" that have been added on. THIS IS WHEN I starting talking "law suits" -at that VERY moment, my loan was released back to M&T Bank. A year later (March 2018) I receive a letter from Bayview telling me I was "OVERCHARGED"!! ...and that $4,500.00 was going to be applied to my principle balance. So basically, they are TRYING to cover their tracks. I called them and told them I wanted my money in hand, but to no avail.
Had I not been able to make those payments on time, I would have lost my home -based on a "mistake/lie/scam" at the hands of Bayview. I still have all of my paper work, and I am looking to join a class action lawsuit. Feel free to reach out with any questions or any suggestions.
