Oh, how I wish I had read this before becoming a victim of Idenity theft from my lock being cut off my locker at Bally's in Chicago. This story is almost identical to what happened to me. But my purse was in my car trunk. They cut my lock and took my car keys from my coat pocket and went to the parking lot to my car. They had my debit card, checkbook, phone, cell phone all identfication. Right away about a hour, they had used my debit card for over 600.00. This was on sunday. Monday I closed all accounts but on Tuesday, they started writing checks. They wrote over three thousand dollars in checks. The management says they're not responsible because they have signs not to bring valuables in the club and I should have put my car keys in the lock boxes. Why not tell the customers about not leaving keys in the locker. The police were acting as though this was no big deal because it happens all the time. I too had to change my house and car locks, buy another phone and glasses. I plan to let everyone I know what happens at Bally's. I'll never step foot in another Bally's Total Fitness. You'll lose more than weight if you go there. I feel this was a inside job.
