He took my worker's compensation claim, did NOT do anything for me, including never filed my case after holding it 11 months, telling me he had not filed it yet because it would cost the insurance company more money if he filed because their lawyers would have to get involved.

His crooked dealings with me were so numerous....there's not space to write it all here. Bottom line- I got ZERO in settlement from Travelers Insurance Company after fracturing my spine.... because of John D. McMahan, "The Insider".

But BEWARE: He changed his TV advertisement after I threatened to turn him in. Now his commercial says "I'll get you the money you deserve".

Caution: The word "deserve" is subjective, and can equal ZERO.

I've learned a valuable lesson. Never hire an attorney who advertises on TV. If they are really good, they will be so booked-up with clients just from word-of-mouth, that you'll do good to get an appointment.

My recommendation, google them and check them out before hiring an attorney. Better yet, do a search for the attorneys name in Appellate and Supreme Court cases, and see whether they won.

Extremely Important Tip: Hire a court reporter to be at your hearing to record everything said. It's harder on an attorney or judge if they were to jerk you around and not be fair to you, because it can be proved later by the record. In Chattanooga, TN court reporters cost approx. $125 for half day. You can find them in the Yellow pages or phone book.
