ASUS Rebate Denial Internet
Purchased wireless router at Frys Electronics, with $10 rebate offer. Submitted all required paperwork by mail. First filled out online information, which tricked me into accepting $9 American Express gift card in two weeks instead of waiting two months for a check. By email on August 8, I was told that the signed claim form had not been submitted. I know it was. The email also said that I could not resubmit it because I was more than 30 days since purchase. July 11 through August 8 is 28 days. The mailing address for claim forms is in El Paso, Texas -- I suspect claims are processed by cheap labor across the border in Juarez, where it's easier to shred claims than to honor them.
