After i took a cab from lake Charles Louisiana to Houston texas to purchase a bmw i was told was available and founding out it was already sold, mario maltez offered to Help Me get financing, despite the fact that i told them my credit was 480,they went ahead, first i was qualified for a 2011 car paying 380.00 with a 1500 down payment, after i don't get qualified for that car, they qualified me for a Chevrolet cruze 2015 but for a 1800 down,i got financing contract with credit acceptance in detroit, they gave all paper work and liability insurance 3 days latter they conctacted me stating the financing terms must be redone and if i refused the car was to be repossessed. I called several attorneys but at first wasn't lucky till a texas lawyer stated it is a legally binding contract enforzable legally, if they repossessed it would be illegal and i can keep the vehicle and pay in accordance with the contract.they still threatened to take car,and demand for me to drive back to Houston...

- This wasn't luck.  You basically "attorney shopped" until you found one who told you what you wanted to hear. But that doesn't mean they were right.   Remember your contract was 6 pages, and you just showed us the first page.  If you called 4 attornies and 3 said you were wrong and one said you were right, perhaps you should ask the one who said you were right what the other 3 were missing?  Perhaps you should ask under what law the one who said you were right was using, then ask the other 3 who said you were wrong what about that law?  Taking the first person who agrees with you may not be the best move.

If any of the other remaining pages had any terms of how the contract could be cancelled, such as they did not get final financing approval.  Then they may have the legal right to request the car back.  In auto sales there is a general rule that a dealer has 10-days to get the final approval or notify you that they couldn't and request the car back.  Since it hasn't been 10 days in this case they may be totally within the contract and their rights.

If they are, the only thing that you may be doing is running up extra costs.  As the contract also would probably give them the right to take "useage" fees for every day you had the car.  This can eat up your down-payment really quick and even put you in a situation where you owe more.

One other thing to think about, if they are letting you just get out of the deal now that may be hte best thing, just based on the cost and interest rate.  Because if you are going to hold them to the letter of the law and the law allows you to keep the car, they may do the same thing.  So if at anytime over the next 4 1/2 years you give them grounds to reposess the car, they will most likely do it at the first opportunity.  So you need to be PERFECT,  and honestly based on the interest rate your credit history is less than perfect bordering on very poor.

Good Luck
