Did you have comprehensive coverage? Do you know what your comprehensive deductible was? I assume your vehicle had no damage? Did you ever ask your insurance agent if he could help? Most people that have comprehensive coverage have a deductible. I am an insurance agent & most of my clients have a $500 deductible on comprehensive coverage, therefore if there was no other loss then the impound charges & lets say your deductible was $500, you agreed to with the company & your agent at the time you took out the policy that you personally would cover your own loss up to $500. See the impound charges would most likely be covered however if your deductible was not met again your responsibility to pay.
