I wanted to thank you for your help, I had read ALL of the other responses and complaintes for Alyon and had seen your post. I sat up half the night filling out claims with all of the above listed companies. And I would be more than interested in doing an interview. And their in no need for me to be anonymous as I have done nothing wrong. This company needs to be stopped and stopped now. I will do all I can to stop them. Again thank you for your help.

Sheila,
You can read my experiences under the Jan. 8 posting from Pittsburgh, PA.
With respect to your case, you need to make sure you send a letter to Alyon (at the Norcross, Georgia address) informing it that you are disputing the charges. You may want to send this letter via certified and regular mail. Your letter should contain your name, address, billing telephone number and account number and must clearly indicate the amount of the disputed charge and the specific reason the charges are in dispute. Alyon apparently needs to receive this letter no later than 30 days after the mailing date of the first bill on which the error or problem occurred.
For the "reason for the dispute", you can argue, as forcefully, but cordially, as you want that your son is a minor and accessed the site without your knowledge or permission. Alyon's Frequently asked questions at its website, does hold out some hope that they will drop charges incurred by minors (after being as sarcastic as possible) but it may be that Alyon has no choice--i.e., it may be that minors are simply incapable of entering into enforceable contracts in this manner. To be clear, this means you don't pay, no matter what Alyon tells you!!! (In fact, I would argue that no one can enter into an enforceable contract in this manner.)
Regardless, you may also want to contact the individuals listed in the other rebuttals--attorney general of Texas, etc etc. Also, since the amount in dispute is quite large, you may want to consider speaking with an attorney, or if you are lucky, a family friend who is knowledgeable about business matters.
Finally, I would like to get a local television news agency (in Secaucus, NJ where Alyon may be based or have some offices) interested in this story. If you would care to do an anonymous telephone interview with a news reporter, I would research whether there is any interest in doing a story. You can reply via the update section of your report.
Thanks.
