During the recent heatwave, my pregnant wife discovered that our AC in the bedroom was not working. She called Airtronix to schedule an appointment for a repair. We live in a high rise and were told that a technician was scheduled to be in our building at 4 PM and we would be serviced after that for an $85 service fee. This was on a Friday afternoon. After calling several times and being told that the tech would arrive in 10-15 minutes, finally at 6:15 we were informed by Daniella, the owner, that the tech was done and she would send him to our unit. BUT, because it was after 5 PM, we would have to pay an emergency fee of $125. Daniella further demanded that payment be made up front with credit card. Please remember that we were looking at the technician standing in our lobby and it was not our fault he was late. There was no additional service call required, he was already here!!! We were told by the tech that the company has over $50,000 in outstanding unpaid bills from our building based largely on the terrible treatment of customers by Daniella. No surprise there. Our tech, who was very nice, repaired our unit in 10 minutes, all the while being called a half a dozen times and yelled at by Daniella (we heard it on the phone), but informed us that we needed a new $10 filter which he would deliver on the following Tuesday morning. He noted this on our receipt. When Friday rolled around with no call from Airtronix, we called and were greeted by Daniella again who rudely informed us that the tech would not be coming until we paid an additional $125 delivery fee. She then cursed at my wife, and our building, and hung up the phone. Further calls to this company have been ignored. Companies owned by rude, disrespectful unprofessional people like Daniella should be out of business. Stay away from these horrible no service operators. We have reported them to our HOA and are trying to get them removed as the contractor for the commercial side of our building. Hopefully there will be repercussions for Daniella's, apparently, chronic disrespect and behavior.
