I owned a raised areo-bed. The picture on the box does not show clearly the two long balances that are attached to maintain stability, and would not have purched it, had I been aware. It did perform and was comfortable only for about 6 to 8 months ( it was used every day and I weigh about 182Lbs ) and then it bagain to stretch and weakend along the seams until a very tiny tear in the seem were you lay most of the time let the air out in the middle of the night and I sank deep into the bed. I did receive patch kits and told to cover them with RTV sealant and that would do the trick until the next weak seem did the same. The bed was thrown into the garbage because it beagain to leak in an area that can not be patched. This product should be taken off the market.

I ordered an aerobed when my husband and I did not have a bed. We loved it! Then, the inner seams broke (we had the raised aerobed) Once those seams went, the bed was like a balloon, impossible to sleep on. I called and the representative said she had that problem also. We asked for our money back and received it after sending back the seal from the end of the bed (free shipping, they paid for it) All in all, I think that the company is doing a great job with the customer service, they need to maybe up the quality of the beds a little bit though...

I would like to thank all the ones that commented on the aerobed but if you had read it correctly I was reporting on the RAISED aerobed not the camping one with the pillow or the regular one that lays on the floor. The RAISED aerobed is the one that stands 3 feet off the floor and has balanced on the side.

My wife and I have owned an Aerobed for several years and have never had a problem with it. We have used it everywhere from our living room to camping in the great outdoors. There have been periods of time when it was used everynight of the week. We have yet to endure one problem or leak. It inflates effortlessly and exactly how they demonstrate on television. We're happy with ours and would recommend them to family and friends.

Aero beds are such a ripoff! Why anyone would want to buy an overpriced inflatable bed when there are many lower cost quality air beds in stores. The aero bed I slept on at my mother-in-laws was awful! We forgot to bring our $30 inflatable mattress from home, which is much more comfortable than the aero bed. For that price, you can by a small air compressor and 2 mattresses and still have money left over. Not to mention that they will most likely be more durable if you get the kind meant for camping like we did.

I have been using an Areobed every night for over a year and haven't had any problems with it. My only regreat is that mine doesn't have the recessed pump. I may upgrade soon! I do have a slow leak, but that's thanks to my cat. I'm sorry Betsy is having so many problems.
