I responded to a credit card buyers club offer from these people. the originaly claimed to be part ogf the capital one banking organization, I still don't know if that is true. the trial club/card package was 19.95 and I foolishly agreed to haver this deducted from checking account. the package was supposed to arrive in 5 to 7 days but took over a month. I never filled out the acceptance forms, becuase I had additional questions and could not contact the customer service center. they were always "experiencing high call volumes". they would take my name and number and claim a rep would call back. of course this never happened. Two days afetr receiving my package my checking account was debited 3 times for purchases and membership fees I never agreed to. a total of 225 dollars. Again I could not contact anyone and my calls were never returned. I forwarded a complaint to the FDIC, sent a letter to Capital First, stopped payment on all automatic withdrawls. Thomas, First of all, I want to thank you for sharing your story. You and I, and the readers of The Rip-off Report, owe Lyn a big "Thank you." So all together, boys and girls, "Thanks, Lyn!" You see, Lyn is a true representation of who the consumers are dealing with on the phone when these greedy, misleading companies come a callin'. Lyn, is right in one aspect, never give your bank information over the phone. Let Thomas' experience be a lesson for us all. But, Lyn, you're wrong about the phone recording of the verbal contract of authorization of the ACH debit. This is where your company gets shady and the Bad Business Bureau is on to you. Telemarketers that tape record for "quality assurance" never record the crude and often misleading story they give the consumer. It is *this* unrecorded part of the conversation where the fraud actually occurs and the courts are on to it. So I'm unimpressed with your argument, Lyn. But we appreciate your input more than you will ever know. Thomas, go to your bank and fill out an ACH fraud complaint form. Write that the company misrepresented itself and that you want all of the money replaced. Then ask the bank to place a block on your account or change bank account numbers, otherwise these scoundrels will just continue to help themselves. Good Luck

Lyn, I have several questions for you: 1. Under the Federal compaint filed against your sister company in FL, they allege that they violated 3 sections of the FTC Act. These include violating Sec 5 (Unfair or deceptive acts), Sec 310 (Misrepresenting the sales of major credit cards / Telemarketing Sales Rule) and guaranteeing the acceptance of approval from a major credit card in violation of the Telemarketing Sales Rule. Any way you spell it, it is fraud. 2. How come you state that you can cancel within 30 days, but when you try, they take your name and say they will call you back when they don't. then when you finally are able to convince them to cancel your acct, they say they will pull the tape of your agreement and say they will not refund your money because you agreed to the terms? 3. How come you have the exact computer system in Miami as well as Carson City when you claim not to be affiliated and you share the same information? 4. How come you gave personal bank acct information to another sister company (E-Phone) so they can get money out of the bank acct as well? I would like some answers please.

Look the things you say I am sure are true in your own small world but please let me broden it fr you.....first you are so way off base FIRST CAPITOL would never say thy were with CAPITOL ONE. That again is mayby your way of making yourself feel better bcs you were flat out stupid and greety. Second I have no ideal where you gt the ideal tht you would gt anything in 5-7 days everything from the company takes 2-6 weeks. So again you making things up as you go along in your small sheltered world. Third here we go, you again prooving you are indeed not the brightest star in the sky 19.95....59.95....99.95 do not will not and can not add up to 225.00. So I am not sure what kinda math they have in your world this is just not the way math works in the real world. AND YES YOU GREEDY IGNORANT HICK YOU DID GIVE THEM PERMISION TO TAKE MONEY FROM YOUR ACOUNT WAS RECORDED DURING VERFICAITIONS. PLUS STUPID NO ONE IS ABLE TO TAKE ANY MONEY FROM AN ACOUNT WITHOUT CUSTOMER PERMISION!!!!!!!!!! Here is the problem there are so many people out there like you you know your credit SUCKS yet you expect to get somthing fr nothing and all you heard on the sales call was 2,500$ fr 19.95$ and paid absolutly no atention to the rest of the call.Then when you figure out you are indeed a stupid jackass you decide we stole from you and we are to blame. Yes we went to your house and made you at gun point give us all your info on the phone and to not pay atention to what you were doing how stupid can a person be. So I gave up a great job becouse I could not stand stupid people like you...here is the solution to yours and any one who has a problm like you...DON'T GIVE YOUR BANK ACOUNT OVER THE PHONE!!!!!!!!!! PAY ATENTION when a sales man calls you DUHHHHHHHHH!!!!! Most of all don't blame others when you are the greedy ignorant hick who simply didn't listen .
