Last week I decided to take some of my Stimulis Check and purchase a new Bed,but didnt want to use it all at once so I opted to go to Aarons Rentals and see what they could offer me.I brought the Store ad with me ,in the ad it had a Queen bed for 64.99 a month and I thought to myself I could swing that.Well after deciding to buy I was informed the price in the ad was for the mattress only ,Boxspring and frame were extra.I have never heard of being charged separate for the other parts,I thought when you purchase a Bed you get all the parts.Final price for Bed on a monthly (your suppossed to save by the month)would be 101.89.I wasnt happy but I was still interested in buying (I dont know why as the Bed would end up costing me over 1800 dollars.

First sign that this Stores Employees could care less about the Customer was how long the GM was taking to get my paperwork together.When she finally came into the office I was in and presented paperwork I explained to her that I just Deposited mnoey in my Bank account (I showed her receipt and deposit slip)that if I was going to use my Debit Card it needed to be run as debit not Credit as the Bank would only process a transaction whereas you put in a PIN number(this was only until the next day when the funds would auctually physically be on the card.Manager told me they are only equipt to run it as Credit.(Thats funny their sign above register states they take Debit,credit and Checks plus cash .When she ran card of course it was declined.So I told her I would have to write a check,then she proceded to tell that if I wrote a Check they could not process until the Check auctually cleared,already being annoyed I hesistantly said okay.

After signing papers we made arrangements for Delivery which were to be made (if my references all checked out) on Thursday.I know they called all my references (even my Job) so there should have been no question of my Worthyness,and by the way I made 2 months payment to get started.

My back had been really hurting me because of old Bed so I wanted to get new Bed ASAP and I knew by paying by Check could possibly delay Delivery ,so as soon as I got home (maybe 10 minutes later)I called Store back and ask Manager if there was anyway they could hold check until morning and I would come in pickup check and rerun the Credit Card which would be good by then,I told her I needed Bed as soon as Possible because of my Back.She said I already Posted check but I will make special arrangements for you and schedule Delivery on Wednesday,this is where things take a dive.

I needed to clean my bedroom get rid of old Bed and have room ready for the New Bed.I called Tuesday to confirm I was down for Delivery Thursday,the Person I asked soppsedly checked and said yes you are down for Wednesday.So I get up Wednesday and once more call Aarons to confirm Delivery,was told it would be here after 3pm.So I proceded to get room ready,Well 3 oclock came and went so at 4.45 I called store again and was told its on it way.^ oclock came and by that time I was getting very annoyed so I asked to speak to Manager ,when she came to phone and check for me she told me "Oh your not down until Thursday" I proceded to tell her what she told me about it being Delivered on Wednesday,at fisrt she lied and said she didnt say that.After waiting most of my only Day OFF I was very annoyed and said you know what I want to cancel order,after saying that she admitted being at fault,I told her its one thing you telling it will be here ,but I called throughout the last 2 days to confirm and all you Employees I spoke to told me it was on the way Today.So Basically I was given the Brush off and no ever bothered to check at all.I was more Mad about that than no Delivery.I told Manager I would need to think about this Purchase overnite and would call back in morning.After thinking it over I decided I did not want to deal with a Compant that Lied to me .So I cancelled order.

I went on The California Consumer affairs web site to make sure I could cancel without it being a legal issue(because I did sign papers)The Law says you have 3 days to change your mind and also if you have nevver taken possession of merchandise,you can cancel out right.

So because I had no Bed to sleep on Wednesday night (or until I could make arrangements elsewhere to get another Bed,my only option was to buy an Air Bed from Walmart,which I brought home and couldnt even lay on it was so uncomforatble,Wanted to take tis for dollar Bed back but Walmart doesnt allow returns Airbeds,so Iwas out an additional 40 plus 20 for air pump,plus 18.00 Stop Check Fee(I wsnt going to let AArons send my money back ,God knows how long that would have taken,and thank goodness the check was still pending and gave my bank time to stop it.

To Summarize this long letter basically as soon as Aaarons takes your money they dont care when they get Merchandise to you.

Oh Yeah today (Saturday)after calling Thursday to close account,they called me at 10 am wanting to know if I still wanted mattress,Are You Kidding Me !!!
