My name is Dineen Etienne the owner of Dee's Handywoman Service LLC. On 9/16/2015 I was searching the internet for a gas package heating and air condition unit and found RUUD.com And contacted the office of CA and was giving on office in GA because CA RUUD did not service the NC area. Once I called I ask about the purchasing a gas pack unit. The secretary advise me that she would had to transfer me to someone that could better assist me. Once transfer I advised the representative of the unit the I needed, the rep proceeded to ask me what area I was in. I advised her I was in Fayetteville NC. She gave me the name of  Tony Cooper and a number 803-869-0013.

Needless to say a I contacted Tony Cooper and advised Mr. Cooper that I need a heating and air conditioning unit and would need someone to install also. On, 9/21/2015 Mr. Tony Cooper and a other gentlemen came out to 1195 Curry Ford Rd and install the unit. Which was a 3ton Gas pack Model #RRNL-B036JK10E Serial F3614031258 at the cost of 4295.00. I ask Mr Tony Cooper what would be done Ductwork, gas line and T stat wiring and digital T stat, and R410a. When, the work I thought was complete on 9/21/20105 was not. Having to contact Mr. Tony Cooper on the 9/23/2015 by via phone  on several attempts advising him of the situation on voice mail. After letting Mr. Cooper know that I would go the media and file a police report  he called me back and advised me he would be there on Friday 9/25/2015, she ask me what was wrong I advised him, that the Truck line was t attached to the unit and the unit was installed incorrectly. When he showed up I advised him that the gas was still not on and showed him the problems, that ruck line was on the ground and was not attached to unit and the unit was pushed up against the home and clear caulking was used the attached to the home.( see picture attached). Than right Mr.Copper left I continue to call him advised him that the unit was not working and he advised me that  he had already left Fayetteville NC and would need to come back out on Tuesday which he did.. He forgot to turn the breaker back on and the wire had been cut which he did fix.

Has you can see that unit was not installed correctly from the very beginning and the work is still incomplete. When Piedmont natural gas cam out to turn the gas on. The gas company would not turn on the gas to the unit because this is a new unit and will not touch the unit. I have contact Tony Cooper over the last three weeks because when the gas came on there was a leak coming from the unit it self. I called Mr. Cooper on Monday advised the office that I was filing a police report and filing a lawsuit against RUUD. So, yesterday I contacted Ruud warranty office at 479-648-4900 and ask to talk with a supervisor and got a young lady by the name of Jamie. I advised Jamie of the situation, she was trying a explain to me that they are not responsible for the unit or the contractor because they are an independent contractor. I advised Jamie that that office is responsible because RUUD office is the one that gave me this contractor information.  She state that someone in the office most likely look up the information on their website because contractors can list on their website. And that all contractors must have license and insurance to purchase from a RUUD distributor Jamie stated that is what the federal law requires from the contractor. Jamie advised me she was going to make some calls and get back with me. Jamie contacted me back at 327 pm advised me at she contacted the distributor and had not heard anything back and advised me that she did not receive my email on the business call I advise Jamie I would resend them to her email and also copies of the receipts.

RUUD should be responsible for these contractors if they are allowing the contractor to list on their website and or give out information on contractor in the area. All I want at this point is for RUUD to get someone back out to fix the problem of getting the unit installed correctly. This is a vets home and my clients do not need this.
