Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

Moving to the Edgewater area in Chicago has been very challenging. This is the third negative experience I have encountered from local stores. So now I will tell my story. Tonight I went to Walgreens approximately 9:30 p.m. to take advantage of my $6 Walgreens cash rewards coupon. After spending over $30 in purchases a few days ago I received this "coupon" stating that I will get $6 Walgreens cash rewards benefits off  my next purchase if I spend over $20. If done so by 3/23/2021. Here's the problem. When I got to the register Manager Matt rang up $38 in purchases and stated that my $6 Walgreens cash rewards will come off my next purchase. I stated "no sir, this is not what this coupon says. This coupon states that I will get $6 Walgreens cash rewards off on my next purchase, and this is my next purchase".

Of course I left the items on the counter and went home, got my glasses and read carefully, elaborately. Accepting the fact that I had just been wronged and willing to give Matt the opportunity to make things right I went back up to the store and stated the latter. Matt was adamant about his position. I then told Matt that he would read about it. He had a smile/smirk on his face as I was leaving. Lets try to decipher his behavior. Is this racism, discrimination, or apart of a hidden cult setting out to  virtually humiliate/aggravate me. Projecting this behavior is something Matt is comfortable doing. Because this character is apart of a "smoking mirror"  designed to entrap innocent people.

I can imagine anything when I should not be imagining anything at all. I patronize these local stores for necessities. I speak and socialize with my neighbor, I treat people fairly, and  I'm non judging towards anyone: Race, creed, beliefs, background, etc. With the Covid 19 and many problems that we are having in Chicago we do not need people like Matt servicing the public. I am sure there are many complaints behind the scene in reference to his character/personality.

Finally, I am 62 years old and live a quiet tranquil life. I should not be subject to the illegalities by the local police, district attorney, states attorney, Politian's, etc. This is also a form of harassment. I will try to add an image of the coupon with the posted date and refer this issue to the corporate management as well. I also have an intermediate witness (Walgreens employee) and also another customer. Thank you for reading. Have a great day.

Walgreens and its deceptive practice

Store location is (Walgreen's 6121 N. Broadway Chicago Illinois 60660). Store employees involved are: Grace from the pharmacy, assistant manager Amrish, store manager Jamie, and Ednana . The incident began February 10, 2022 approximately 1:01 p.m. when I purchased a $50 visa vanilla gift card from employee Ednana and paying a $5.95 activation fee.

The problems come about when I came back to this location 2 days later and tried to buy a few items with the gift card. The system declined the card several times and the employee called assistant manager Amrish. The system again declined the card repeatedly. Amrish stated that I had to call the visa company to have the card activated. I stated that the card had been activated when I purchased it. I told Amrish that I wanted a refund. Amrish stated that all sales were final and that there is no refund with this purchase. I was livid to say the least. I went home and called visa and checked the balance.

The visa system stated that there was a $50 balance on my card. 2 days later  I went to target to see if this card was legit. I purchase some socks and ear phones. Targets system accepted the visa vanilla gift card. Another 2 days past and I went back to the same Walgreens  to pick up my medication and decided to purchase some vitamins with the balance of $21 and pay the difference out of pocket.  When I tried to use the visa vanilla gift card once again the system declined the process.

Grace from pharmacy was very unprofessional, rude, and would not give me the $50 that I had given her upon request. Condescending and appeared to be apart of a failed collusion. She called manager Jamie to the back and Jamie tried to process the transaction and the same thing happened over and over. Jamie also stated that this has never happened before. I was very upset and the people in  line heard the whole dialog and was also vigilant about  the behavior of Grace.

What makes it even worst is that Walgreen's deleted the visa vanilla gift card transactions out of their system. There is no ledger in their system showing that I purchased this card on February 10, 2022. (Deceptive practice) However, the visa vanilla gift card web site has the transaction, date, time and purchase of this card on their web site from Walgreens. This is one of  the main reasons that I am writing this complaint. Seeking legal assistance.

I wrote this complaint to the Walgreens corporate office on their website. But their system is saying add a valid address. Over and over again. If anyone has any suggestions or possibly a class action lawsuit against this company. Thank you for reading have great a day.
