Zillow,

I am writing because Zillow Premier Agent/Zillow Group unjustly charged a debit card on 09/09/2021 (INV13661286) for $860.00.

I tried to cancel my Zillow Ads account on or around August 15th, but Zillow uses a double opt-out, which I did not see and Zillow uses to keep you onboard and bill you before you know it. I opted out only once! Zillow makes it extremely difficult for anyone to cancel (see

https://www.zillow.com/ads/agent-billing-portal/payment-methods).

________________________________________________________________________________________________________

On 09/01/2021, I was scheduled to meet my new Zillow Business consultant, Vida Davis, on a virtual call. The meeting was canceled as Ms. Davis does not work on Labor Day.

The call was rescheduled for later in the coming week.

I immediately emailed Ms. Davis letting her know (in my own words) that I was not leaving Zillow Ads for good, but as I was on a month-to-month billing, I was unwilling to pay $860 for Sept.

And would not continue to pay for Zillow Ads.

Ms. Davis and I had our virtual meeting on 09/01 (which was recorded by Zillow). I told Ms. Davis again that I was not willing to continue paying for Zillow Ads until I ‘closed’ one of their leads; or…until Feb 9th, 2022.

We had a constructive conversation and again I apologized for not wanting to continue.

Ms. Davis emailed me and tried to get me to stay.

All of this was under my assumption that I had canceled my Zillow Ads billing.

_____________________________________________________________________________________________________________

On 09/09 my card was billed $860.

I immediately (09/09) called Zillow Billing and was told that I had not canceled my billing and they would have to discuss my situation with The Team.

Thus, I began making calls to Zillow to plead my case.

On or about 09/18, Ms. Davis returned my call and said her Senior Manager, David Weintraub, refused my request for a refund.

It was then that I realized I had an email chain with Ms. Davis and a recorded phone conversation with the proof that I intended to cancel.

I asked by mail, email, and phone calls to get copies of our conversations. Zillow just LAUGHED at my request and never responded.

FACTS

11)      Zillow has an electronic record that I tried to opt out on or around August 15th.

22)      My emails (attached) showed I had the intention to cancel my Zillow Ads.

33)       I have repeatedly asked for the recording with Vida Davis (to no avail who lied to me).

44)      I was told by a Zillow Concierge that “Vida Davis would have been aware that I had NOT canceled my billing when we talked. And she should have told me this.
