I experienced a significant service failure with Uber Eats. I ordered three sandwiches from Subway through the Uber Eats app. Shortly after placing my order, I was informed by Subway that one of the items, the Egg & Cheese Sidekick, was unavailable. They advised me to seek a refund directly from Uber Eats as they could not cancel it on their end.

 

I promptly contacted Uber Eats to request a refund for the unavailable item. Despite my immediate action and the clear fault on the service’s part, my request was met with delayed responses. When my order was delivered minus the unavailable sandwich, I took a video of the unboxing to document the missing item, anticipating potential disputes over the order’s completeness.

 

Uber Eats later responded to my refund request with a refusal, stating, “We are sorry to hear about your experience ordering from Subway…but your order isn’t eligible for a refund at this time.” This denial came despite clear evidence that the order was incomplete and the item undelivered.

Demands:

 

1.Full refund for the missing Egg & Cheese Sidekick sandwich.

2.Compensation for the time wasted and the inconvenience caused due to this issue.

 

Uber Eats’ refusal to provide a refund for a service failure is unacceptable. This incident not only resulted in financial loss but also wasted time and caused significant inconvenience, highlighting a lack of accountability and customer service on their part. I urge potential customers to be wary of using Uber Eats for their orders, as my experience indicates a potential risk of unaddressed service failures and financial losses.
