David has cheated me out of $4000. He has contracted (for a total of $8500) to demolish my very old, very unsafe inground pool. He has worked less than a day in total--a few hours at a time. The pool is in worse shape and more unsafe than when he started. He doesn't answer phone calls....and only someitmes texts. He ALWAYS has an excuse....some of which I have ascertained are absolue lies. I just want $4000 worth of work out of him--or my money back.

When you last went to a doctor, did he call you a few days before the appointment and ask for money to pay for medical supplies to treat you??? I don't understand you people! If this was legitimate business, with sound finances, they would HAVE AN ACCOUNT with their suppliers and NOT be hounding you for money! Why is THAT so hard to understand??? The paying up front con-game is a mainstay in construction and home repair businesses due to the incredible numbers of UNSOUND BUSINESS involved. Any which has been around a while has an excellent reputation financially and is creditworthy to have supplier accounts. That's as obvious as the rising of the sun. The exception would be special order items which cannot be used elsewhere.
