I purchased a 2007 Lexus Rx350 from Rent2Own HQ, Valley Hi Location, in May of 2020. I know when you purchase a used vehicle you get it as is and I am very aware of the risks. Truth be told, I had no problems with the vehicle at all. I was very pleased with it as well as with the staff at the Valley Hi location. My income is monthly so they granted me monthly payments and I even paid an extra $200 a month to pay off faster. I made my final payment on vehicle on June 20th, 2021 and then I had to sign a new contract for the Residual payments (TT&L).

Apparently I didn't catch it prior to signing that the Rep had set up bi weekly payments. (I am disabled and was in bad shape that day). However I did realize it before leaving. The Rep (Joseph) told me, dont worry about it Ms. *****, I'll take care of it for you and get it corrected. I shouldnt have trusted him cuz he didnt. 

The dealership called me asking about payment, I informed what happened and they said they see no record of that.  I mangaged to make the first 3/5 biweekly residual payments on time, Mind you I also had never missed a single monthly payment in my 12 month contract and was even paying $200 extra per month. As well as I had good communication with the Cashier at the Valley Hi location and she knew that the Rep messed up and should have fixed the pay schedule that day.

She tried to correct it, but the system wouldnt let her. So 1 freaking day before I was scheduled to go in and make the last 2 payments in full, these sorry bastards at the Corporate office took my vehicle from my spouses job. No notice to me or anything. If they would have paid attention to my account I had a promise to pay scheduled for the next day. They didn't give a s**t!!! They just told me if i want my vehicle back, I would need to pay $790.00.. To which I did. And I paid it the same freaking day!!! And they don't reposess the vehicle with a tow truck, they use their spare key to get in vehicle after following you and literally waiting for you to get off. So when video footage is viewed, some may think that it was stolen and not repossessed.

The call center staff that answers the phones are freaking rude as hell, and have double charged my card more than once. Joseph at the corporate office is rude and has no idea of the meaning customer service. Not to mention they charge rediculous fees for everything....They informed me I had to pay $247 for the inspection and registration renewal because the vehicle is in their name only and only they can get inspection and order the vehicle registration. Guess they thought I'd be stupid to believe them. This was not my first time financing a vehicle. Inspections are only $7 and I got the registration sticker for $85 MYSELF!!!!!

The Tax office dont give a s**t whos name the vehicles in, as long as the vehicle has insurance and the person buying sticker has a license. All REMT2OWN HQ does is FREAKING LIE!!! As well as When you call giving them permission to run the CC on file for payment, the call center answers and they add an additional $6.50 fee. So I eventually ended up paying an additional $110.00 in payment fees.

The amp went out on my Lexus and when I spoke to their mechanic Blane, he wanted to charge me $150 for a used amp. Yet I bought a brand new one for $69.00. And these are just minor things. So prior to the corporate office stealing my vehicle for more financial gain, we never had a single problem with our Lexus. My wife had just did a complete tune up, cleaned out the throttle body and intake manifold, a few weeksd prior and had put brand new brake pads about a month and half ago. But when I go pick up my vehicle from their SS lot, the check engine light is on and it wasn't on before.

So 2 days later as we're getting on the highway, the hood mysteriously popped up out of nowhere and severly cracked the windshield all the way across. Good thing I have full coverage insurance and it got fixed. Just weird how that had never happened before. We got the windshield fixed 3 days later and then all of a sudden I'm driving home from Safelite and I here a flapping sound. Didnt know what it was but just 2 blocks from my house the power steering went out on me, the battery light came on, and truck was beginning to overheat. I get it towed home by my insurance and my wife realized the serpentine belt busted.

Yet we never had any problems in regards to the serpentine belt. But as shredded as it was, anyone would have thought that it had been bad for quite some time. Spouse bought new belt and had it replaced the same day. No problem. Yet vehicle still overheating. She checks hoses and finds one that is mysteriously missing the clamp as well as a hose leading to the intake manifold that appears to have been loosen. Yet she had just did a complete clean out.

We don't drive our Lexus much other than to and from my wifes work thats only 5minutes from our home. and all this happened in the 1st week i got my Lexus back from them. Keep in mind, my vehicles paid off and I'm making my TT&L payment this week. And all of a sudden I'm having these problems that I never had before they took it from me for no reason. And just today 9/21/2021, the ignition key completely broke in half and now it wont start my vehicle. So I call Rent2Own to inquire about the spare key they have that they will be giving me when I make the final $200 payment in 2 days and they tell me they cant give it to me until I pay it off, but they will gladly have their key maker make me an extra key for $178.00. I told them to f**k off and I'll just wait til thursday to receive the spare they have.

$178 for a replacement key that is going to be given to me anyways in 2 days. Like Seriously? Yes I was pleased by the service I got from everyone at the Valley Hi Location. Salesman Rick is awesome, but the corporate office and the manager of the Valley Hi location Joseph, who is at the corporate office and the call center reps are rude as hell and do not know the meaning of customer service. And they over charge their customers wayyyyy too much. I will never refer anyone else to them!!!!
