I went to RedTail a few years back. I have Hashimoto's and many gut issues. I paid him $10k (plus the cost of supplements) over the course of 3 months and was in exactly the same health after 3 months that I was when I started. I was desperate when I went in as I was eating 3 foods, had lost a bunch of weight and my quality of life was horrible. So we took out a loan to pay for his services. He is a total poser.
He knew I was a perpetual researcher and would ask me when I came in "what do you know about -insert supplement name-"? Based on what I said he either would or wouldn't test me on it and then prescribe it to me. In the last weeks of my time with him I was starting to put pieces together on my own and thinking I had histamine intolerance (from SIBO-which was diagnosed by my regular doctor while I was under Ian's care).
One of the women in the office recommended I talk with their nutritionist. Ian said I could talk with her if I paid $260 for one hour consultation. Needlesstosay, I cancelled the appt. and have never gone back. Don't waste your money. He is truly practicing on people and letting his patients pay his bills while he learns. I am not the only one who feels this way either.
I have ran into a handful of people in Boulder who had a similar experience to me and felt he was a waste of time and money. I couldn't believe it when I saw him speaking in a forum on Hashimoto's which was presented by a very smart local Hashimoto's specialist. While I have a lot of respect for her, she obviously didn't take the time to do her research or she would have found many other people just like me who found Dr. Ian is all talk and has nothing to offer if you need anything more than weaning yourself from the SAD.
Don't waste your money!!!! I have since found a FABULOUS chiropractor in Boulder who rid me of my gut issues, continues to treat my MCAS and has made my Hashimoto's a non-issue. My out-of-pocket to this amazing doctor? Under $500 plus the cost of supplements for 6 months. I can't stress enough - Don't waste your money at Red Tail.

Dr. Ian was making lots of promises to me about getting my health back on track within a few weeks. I was talked into spending a fortune on doctor visits with him and lots of supplements. I was desperate and I feel like this man took advantage of me in a situation where I was lured into trusting Dr Ian. He was arrogant, late with results, evasive, and made me come back for checks almost weekly, with no changes in my care at all other than trying to sell me on more.
More office visits with him, more appointments with the people that worked for him at his office (massage, nutritionist), more supplements. It was ice cold in the little massage room. I asked to have it warmer and the massage therapist informed me that Dr Ian does nit allow her to heat the room or get a heater to save the money! One day the receptionist tried to talk me into buying one of his $10,000 plans. I was out of resources at that point and they knew it.
I refused and even though I spent a lot of money there I was since considered a second class patient at best. Reminded me of a cult rather than a doctor’s office. Thank God I escaped from their fangs. Please, will you tell me who your wonderful Chiropractor is in Boulder? I am still suffering from the same health issues that I had when I started with Dr Ian Hollaman. Just worsened. Need to find one good one asap.
