Clocktower's CEO and Managing Partner Steve Drobny is a huge fraud and bait-and-switch artist who constantly exaggerates the scope and scale of the firm's business. The hedge fund seeding business, which is by far the main revenue driver for the firm, is quickly falling apart. Steve Drobny also hired his former drinking buddy, Steve Gregornik, as "President" to manage the business.
The entire firm is designed to enrich Steve Drobny personally, with very poor outcomes for employees and clients. Finally, Steve is a known womanizer who constantly cheats on his wife and continually hires young, attractive females (at low salaries) to populate their supposedly fancy, but overrated and crowded, offices in Santa Monica. His form Head of IR, who was a female and rising star in the company, quit over his sexist practices and limited growth opportunities.
