 I'm upset I was charged twice! I took my Fiancé here a 1 night stay to celebrate her Birthday. I booked the room thru 3rd party website Agoda.com for 11/03/2023. I came to the hotel around 4pm to check-in, it took the lady at the front desk around 20-30 minutes to check me in because she was having difficulty accessing my booking, and said it was common issue with her system. She called someone over to help her out, used my CC for accidentals, and finally got me checked-in. Next day on 11/04/2023 @ 8am. I went to the front desk to let them know I was checking out. A few days later I get charged by your hotel "Best Western Plus Casablanca Hotel San Clemente" $196.01. I called the front desk and spoke to a gentleman by the name Kevin on 11/6 and told him I've been charged by the hotel, and he told me he will speak to the night auditor, and get back to me the next day. The next day he calls me, and told me my card should have never been charged, and it should have only been held for accidentals. He said he will refund me. An entire week goes by, I call again. He tells me he will need to speak to the night auditor, and reverse the transaction. And I should get the refund within the week. I call back another week later, and he tells me "I'm sorry for what happened, he can't pull up my credit card on their end, and he will have the night auditor work on it tonight and issue you a refund, and he will contract me tomorrow with more information.

A week goes by and he never contacted me back! I call again and Kevin wasn't working, so I left a message with the gentleman, and he said he'll have Kevin call me back, and another week went by and no response. I’m just being ignored at this point. I've wasted so much time and energy. I book hotels every few weeks, and never had any issues like this. I just want a refund for being charged TWICE!

 Why in the world are you using ANY sleazy third party to make YOUR OWN reservation???Nothing has changed in the business. You call the hotel and make your own reservation DIRECTLY. These trashy third parties, and they are ALL trashy, can't do anything you cannot do. They just can't wait for something to go wrong, then YOUR MONEY gets refunded to them and THEY KEEP YOUR MONEY! They have even been known to make deliberate "mistakes" so you will cancel and THEY KEEP YOUR MONEY. I would guarantee you would have received your refund if you dealt with the hotel DIRECTLY like experienced travelers do. REMEMBER THIS: You never, ever need to use ANY third party to make your own reservations. You do it directly, just like always!

 It has nothing to do with the 3rd party website I booked through. It's the the fact the hotel charged my card for 1 night for no reason. It's the hotels fault not the 3rd party website.
