My name is Rick Stewart and If you contact me on Facebook I can give you court documents and my attorney's information to verify that after THREE MONTHS of receiving zero rent, we had to forcefully evict (unlawful detainer) the tenant that Mario/Bridgehouse screened and moved in. Tenant moved in April 1, 2019. Mario served 3-day pay or quit on June 1, 2019, but did not follow up with the unlawful detainer, but kept telling us via text, that "he was working on it". Finally, we served the 3-day pay or quit on July 8, 2019, went to mediation Aug 20, 2019, trial Aug 22, 2019.

Despite the contract clearly stating that Bridgehouse would pay us rent regardless of whether tenant pays them and that Bridgehouse taking care of all damages to property....we have not received any money from Bridgehouse. Despite Mario claiming that he "was waiting for court date because tenant is contesting"....we were able to get a court date on our own with a forceful removal in 36 days.

How did we get a court date and unlawful detainer BEFORE Mario could get a court date when we started our 3-day pay or quit a MONTH AFTER when Mario served the tenant?  Because, as our attorney found out through court documents, Mario/Bridgehouse NEVER filed the paperwork to evict the tenant.  If we would not have filed our paperwork, our tenant would still be sitting in our house and not paying rent. 

So it is pretty obvious that Mario was lying to us. He never did the court paperwork. Never filed for a court date. He took $5,995 from the tenant and now has went silent. I have not heard from Mario in over 2 months. Nobody ever answers the numbers listed on their website and of course he doesn't answer his cell phone.  Their website & Facebook profiles have been take down.

My research shows that Bridgehouse America is owned by Mario Robert.  There are no records on either Mario or the company and no business license.  The website has been taken down and Facebook profile deleted. I did a search of his cell phone number.

Sure enough, it came back as Mario Robert Garcia.  There are a few suspicious connections to a felony warrant to a fellow named Mario Robert Garcia with a warrant out for his arrest out of Colorado.  And if you follow the cell phone info, you see that he lived in Colorado.  Although that was real estate related, not 100% sure of the connection but thought I would just add it.  The phone number that I have is 949-412-9227.

This is suprising to us because Mario is very nice on the phone.  A person who comes off as someone you can trust.  He is a very smooth talker....

If you email me, I will provide you all proof. I am a high school teacher, not a landlord. We just wanted to sell our house, but now is completely damaged and will need thousands in repairs. We are also out 4 months of rent.

Mario, owner of Bridgehouse, replied to my text on Sat Aug 10 and answered my phone call on Sun Aug 11.  The conversation was cordial and professional. 

He was very upset about being linked to a guy in Colorado with the same name.  Although I stated that I "was not 100% sure of any connection", I do see it from his perspective.  Upon further research and after talking to Mario, I do NOT believe them to be the same person.

Mario Robert Garcia, owner of Bridgehouse America - Phoenix (now called Bridgehouse Investors - California) is NOT, I repeat NOT, the same Mario Robert Garcia in Colorado.

I asked RipOff Report to remove that paragraph but they believe adamantly in not changing or removing any posted report.  I found this out after several emails with their support team.

To consumers reading this, please understand my frustration.  I am a high school teacher, not a landlord.  I do not live in worlds of lawyers or dealing with companies like Bridgehouse that are worth millions.  In fact I am an unemployed teacher due to my leukemia and this is the only home I own.  I raised my children in this home and we needed to sell it to pay my medical bills.  We thought Bridgehouse was an answer to our prayers.

So after texting Bridgehouse the entire month of June with no proof of eviction, then paying out of our pocket to evict the tenant ourselves, and not collecting rent for three months, I am obviously very frustrated.  Court date Aug 22 does not mean tenant moves out.  Court will give her 2-3 weeks to move out, so I am probably out Sept rent also !!!

I stand by all the other facts that I have stated in this report, however, I do not believe that the owner of Bridgehouse is the same Mario Robert Garcia living in Colorado.

The website, www.bridgehouseamerica.com has been taken down, along with their facebook page.  They have moved their company from Phoenix to Southern California and are now www.bridgehouseinvestors.com. 

I still believe that if the tenant would have been served properly in June by Bridgehouse, our house would have been vacated in July.....however, Mario is claiming that he did hire a company to do this for him since they are/were in Phoenix and that company dropped the ball.

He said he would email me proof that he did in fact hire a company to handle the entire eviction process.  If it is true that an eviction company was hired in June whom failed, then I will post that proof.

Here is hoping that a company that buys & sells homes every day will do whats right and follow the contract we signed with them.  On Sunday Aug 11, 2019, Mario from Bridgehouse verbally stated that he will give us June rent this week and to send him all the repair bills.

Now we just need to collect July & August rent, along with court and attorney fees (approx $800).

I have attached our contract which states we get monthly rent from Bridgehouse, not the tenant.  It also states that Bridgehouse takes care of damages caused by the tenant.

Here is a prayer for the little guy.  A prayer that there is still people left who will do what is right.

After 24 days of not hearing from him, he finally replied to our text me after reading my complaint on Better Business Bureau. (Aug 10, 2019), His initial response was "I thought she moved out 3 weeks ago"...then I told her that she was still in there and if you though she moved out, then why not contact us to tell us she moved out? His response: "I had no idea, I am sorry". (email me....I have copies of all these text messages)

I asked him why he told me 8 times that "they were working on it" and "there would be a court date"...of course no answer.

His text this morning (Aug 11, 2019) was to call me a racist and to never contact him again. My wife's name is Cruzita Avila, daughter of a hispanic field worker born in Mexico. We are 100% not racist. Look us up on Facebook.

NEVER CONTACT HIM? The tenant that he moved into our house has lived rent free for 3 months and our house is damaged. We have a contract with Bridgehouse that says they will pay for damages. We had to evict her....but now Mario says NEVER CONTACT HIM? smh.

His reason for calling me racist is based on the information I posted on this thread about the warrant for a guy in Colorado with the same name and same phone number.  They are both named "Mario Robert Garcia"....so somehow posting a hispanic name makes me a racist

This is his way of getting out of paying us the $4,200 in back rent, plus damages to our house, plus court and attorney fees.
