Absolutely DO NOT book this company! Terrible customer service. They left us stranded in Valle de Guadalupe after their van/driver was detained for having improper permits.
My husband and I helped a friend book this tour company for her birthday on July 16, 2021. She wanted a reliable van company that could take us around to a few preselected Valle de Guadalupe wineries. What we ended up with was a nightmare of an experience.
While we were IN the van in Valle de Guadalupe, we were stopped by local authorities and our driver/his van was detained for not having the permits to legally conduct tours in the state of Baja. It appears that Bajaround subcontracted our rental out to a non-licensed entity without telling us.
We are EXTREMELY disappointed with the quality of service offered by Bajaround. We have called multiple times a day, nearly every business day of the week, trying to get our refund since this whole thing happened. We were left high and dry in Valle (2 hrs away from home) without any way to get home. We had to pay exorbitant fees for same day service with another company to get us back that evening. It ruined my friend’s entire birthday experience, especially when we thought we were renting a “fully licensed” tour.
Of the 275$+ we paid, we have only gotten a measly refund of 50$. Whenever my husband calls to request the manager, they always tell him that they will be “depositing the money soon” and to “expect a confirmation of deposit by 5pm” — which always ends up being completely false. Nobody ever calls us back. Again, this has been going on for nearly 3 months.
It is very obvious that this company does not care about its customers. We’ve waited months to write this review hoping that maybe they would do the right thing and give us our full refund. They have yet to do so, and it is extremely frustrating and disappointing.
I hope that anyone considering a tour with this company reads this review and RUNS the opposite direction.
