Complaint Review: World Financial Group - Howard Qu / Clyde Morgan - City Of Industry California

     Wow, now everything that has happened to me over the last weeks now makes sense. Thank you people! I just had a message on my cell from Clyde Morgan from Chino "who found my resume on Careerbuilder and he wanted to interview me". Did not say the name of the Company or what the position was about which I thought was strange. I thought it was another call from Aflac, Farmers, AllState, and the like but at least those Companies STATE THEIR NAME in a recruiting message. Guess I'm not calling him back.

    Last week I had a call from a gal who barely spoke English who was setting up interviews with the "CEO" from AEGON in Chino. I had not heard of AEGON and did set up an interview for later that week but I landed the job I wanted and cancelled by leaving a message. The number she gave me was her home phone number and not a business. I did not ask her too many questions about the position or company because she couldn't understand my English and vice versa.

    Lastly, a "Jim" called me about a job opportunity with World Financial and stated he was calling me because we use to work for at the same Company 15 years ago (huge $30 billion giant multinational) and said I'd be a good for for World Financial. He wanted to met Thursday or Friday of last week but I had interviews with real "non-financial" companies. He then said how about 9 AM meeting "with a bunch of other people" for Saturday at a "Chino" address which I thought was odd interviewing on Saturday with lots of people????? ? Legit Companies don't do this. Rained like crazy on Saturday and I blew it off. Glad I did.

    The bottom line is I did not know all 3 of these situations were even related until I looked this website up!!! Thank you everyone for saving me time and hassle-I know I wouldn't have wasted any money as I have $0 to waste!!!!!! There was something very odd in all 3 of these situations and you just have to trusts your instincts.

I was recently contacted by Clyde Morgan of Chino California. There were many red flags in our first and only coversation. When asked what they do I was told they were in the financial industry. He had difficulty explaining the financial instruments they dealt in, he simple made off hand remarks about rolling over home loans and 401k plans. When asked the name of the company he only told me the parent company name. Not a good start.

For anyone out there searching for a job, if you are into Multi-Level-Marketing you might want to talk to this guy. Otherwise, just keep looking and best of luck.

If they told you it was sales and the financial industry, how is that a lie? I'm confused. So you are mad becuase they offered you a business oppurtunity instead of a job oppurtunity? This guy is a weirdo! - It takes a special person to recognize a good oppurtunity. I know many people involved with WFG and none of them claim to be employees of the company. From what I understand it is actually a business within a business. They don't recruit you into a job. You become in independent agent just like a real estate agent with Centruy 21. You become self employed so why are these people talking about employees from WFG? Doesn't even make sense... Nobody ever claims to be employees of WFG. It is a franchise operation...They are looking for people who want to start their own business. They are NOT looking to supply JOBS for average grunt working society, they are providing business oppurtunities for visionaries, they are not looking for ignorant people that need a steady "salary". There is a huge difference between an employee and a business owner but since only 2% of the country is financially independent and 98% of the country is dependant on friends, family, and the federal govenrment to retire then obviously it is hard to find entrepeneurs that understand a legit marketing system. Maybe when all these people get fired from their "job" with their "stable salary" they will realize they need an oppurtunity like WFG or any of the other great business oppurtunities that smack them in the face. Every great entrepeneur is ridiculed by his family. Bill Gates was laughed at when he dropped out of college to start Microsoft. Clyde Morgan is still calling new members of CareerBuilder. I just signed up a couple of days ago and recieved a vague phone message from him today. It sounded like the call came from a call center so I was suspect of it right away. I can't tell you if this company is legit or not but from the post which Notorious made, I will not be calling Clyde back to even go to an interview. I'm glad I went with my gut and Googled the name Clyde Morgan and Chino, otherwise I would have made the same mistake of going to this "interview" to brush up my interviewing skills. By the way, the number which Clyde left me was 951-237-4529, I could find it when I searched online so I'm referencing it here. Of course I cannot say if this company is good or bad, all I know is that sales and upfront investments are not my cup of tea so again, I'm glad I found this post and saved myself time and energy.

WFG obviously has had some success and there are quite a few people out there that are Happy working for them. However, there are also people out there like me that don't want their time wasted on a "Ponzi Scheme". Take a look at what Bernard Madoff did to people and their money, wasn't that guy part of a reputable company? I want people to be aware of the ins and outs of a company like this. When someone has to lie to you to get you in the presentation that's not good. They start off as being dishonest and I do not want to do business or work for a dishonest organization Also, they claim that you can't possibly lose any of your money by rolling over your 401k and you will make 5% on your money. Now, we all know that's not 100% accurate - everyone would be doing it if that was the case. Why would they pay these huge commissions if that was the case? It just does not add up and you will lose in the end. Nothing is free in life. The facts are the facts - you have the power to make your own decisions.

I was contacted by a WFG Registered Representative not too long ago. Before jumping to conclusions I decided to do some research and gather the facts instead of basing my decisions from opinions. I was invited to a presentation of the company and it was clearly spelled out that the marketing system used by WFG is different from most financial services firms. I considered selling these services and I understood that I would be compensated by 100% commissions on my personal production, but would have the opportunity to grow a business by building an agency of financial services representatives. This is not an easy task, but the company provides training and support for individuals willling to take on this opportunity. This is no reason to call this company or their marketing business model a scam. There are countless companies that operate in a multilevel marketing model and are by no means out to scam people. In the contrary, it is the most powerful way to build a business and reduce overhead costs, while building an organization of professionals when properly implemented. I agree that some people may not adhere to the proper training and will choose to implement their own tactics of getting people to join their organization. This is human nature. The company is formatted to operate in a professional, honest manner when prospecting for new financial services reps. Unfortunately, in a large organization with over 500 offices Nationwide in the USA and new offices opening up in China, there are bound to be cases of individuals who choose to follow their own method. Most importantly, I realized that this company is owned by one of the largest insurance providers, Aegon of the Netherlands. Which also owns Transamerica and other large insurance firms in the USA. These are highly reputable firms that are strictly regulated by the Securities and Exchange Commission. Do yourself a favor and become more educated before you jump to conclusions. FINRA is the largest independent regulator for all securities firms doing business in the United States. You can do a search on World Group Securities, the Securities Broker which WFG representatives must register through to sell securities. World Financial Group is the marketing company, while World Securities Group is the registered BROKER FIRM. (((Redacted))) you can search countless broker firms, such as Citi group, which is the real rip off.. you will find over 1400 cases of misconduct, violations, arbitrations, millions in fines, and many many unhappy customers of Citi group. Weird how you don't see a rip off report about this. I would like to post the violations of so many broker firms in the USA, but that would be the equivalent of a full time job. WORLD GROUP SECURITIES REPORTS NO SUCH VIOLATIONS AND HAS ABIDED BY THE RULES AND REGULATIONS OF THE SEC. I am happy to have been associated with this company and I feel greatful for having a representative meet with me and help me develop a financial plan. Before this I was clueless about how money worked and how to avoid paying too many taxes on my life savings. I am now on track with a great retirement account, I have a college savings plan for my child set up, and I am happy to refer clients to World Financial Group because I was treated in a professional manner. As an employee of World Financial Group, I am here to tell everyone that it is definately NOT a scam. Im sorry that there a some of you who have met people that are not nice or who made you feel uncomfortable. They are the few in the company. I have been with the company over 7 months, and I have nothing but good things to say about it. I was a client first and very satisfied with the financial solutions they gave me. I am now on a great track financially. In terms of WFG being a scam, hello people! It is owned by Aegon which is a fortune 500 company and is back by some of the best financial institutions in the country. COmpanys whose products we use are Western Reserve Life, Pacific Life Insurance, Allianz Life Financial Services, Jackson National Life Insurance Company, Transamerica Mutual Funds, MetLife Inverstors distribution company, John Hancock Distributors, and Progressive to name a few. These companies would not back a company that was a "scam" or that ripped people off! Call any of thsoe companies and ask about WFG's reputation. They will thell you the same thing I am. Also, I have never met a more quality group of people in my life. Everyone that I work with are the nicest, most down-to-earth, honest people I have ever met. In terms of recruiting, yes we recruit people to come and work for the company, but out of 10 that come to the presentation, maye 1 will get hired. They do not hire just anyone. All agents with the company MUST be licensed before they can help any family with thier financial future. And the $100 that was mentioned was for a backgroud and credit check to make sure you are who you say you are, and to make sure they are not hiring someone with horrible credit to represent thier company. PLease dont bash a comapny that is doing great things for families! Im sorry if you have had a bad experience. There is always a bad appple in the bunch in any company, so dont penalize the rest of us for the few bad ones!
