eHarmony is the source of many scammers looking to take advantage and lure lonely singles into giving money to them.  With the extremely poor grammar in the emails, it is assumed that they are from outside of the U.S.  In my case, I received a call from Nigeria country code 253 which I believe the scammer got a little careless with.  We had chatted and texted for several weeks and then he wanted to call to talk.  That's where he messed up because I use to work in telecommunications.

The name the scammer used was  William Hamilton at this email address:  [email protected].  He has a linked in profile that is very likely also a lie.  This person claims to be in the petroleum industry; a widower; a shy guy; and claims to live in Los Angeles but travels for business.

Do not sign up for eHarmony.  It is a source for scammers and they will not refund money even though they send matches that are no longer active, have no profiles filled out, or to scammers who are working from outside the U.S. to try to get money from lonely singles.

These scammers are everywhere not just eHarmoney.  Don't like this site because it is expensive but to single out one sight is not fair to them.  These scammers are on pretty much all dating sites and usually use the photos of military members or handsome men.  Had the same experience on POF. AND that is a stolen photo and not the real person.
