I leased a lawn mower from Sears through Why Not Lease It, and was advised that I have 5 months to decide if I would like to keep the item.  If so, I'd go on to continue paying for it.  The lawn mower stopped working as I was mowing the lawn a few months later (after several payments), and I called sears for repair.  They didn't have the ability to repair it as obligated, so I decided that I would return the mower through the leasing program.  I called the 1888-WHYNOT-0 line, and spoke with a representative and cancelled the service.  They said that a representative would schedule pickup.

I never recieved a call to schedule pickup.  A month later I called to see what was going on and was told that this is an attempt to collect a debt!  What debt!  After trying to get the pickup scheduled and getting nowhere, I ended the call and called back to try with a different representative.  This representative apologized and said that they would schedule it as soon as possible.

Again, I never got a call back.  I soon forgot about the callback, and a few months later recieved a call from a debt collector, whom I immediately explained the situation.  He responded that they "HAVE NO WAY TO PICK THE ITEM UP" and ended the call with them promising to check with their client (why not lease it).

A year later, I get a call from a debt collector threatening to engage an administrative law judge.  I told them that I would not be bullied into accepting being scammed.

NOONE should ever use their service.  They are terrible and fraudsters with no intent on picking up items as promised, should you end the contract within the alotted time.
