This is to describe all the trouble I've been through with Voicestream wireless...

On June 5, 2001 I called a place called Digital connect... they did a credit check over the phone and told me i was approved for a cell phone with no money down... they tell me how to get to there store. She stated to me that she was the first Voicestream store off of the highway. I don't remember what the store name was on my way there so I look for the first store off of the highway, which is Skygear.

So I go into sky gear trying to get set up and the man told me that he didn't know where the other store is but he can set me up anyway. (Just trying to get money on his check) so I set up with him. I was 16 at the time and I was trying to get a cell phone. So when I state this to him he tells me it is no problem. So when he hands me my written contract I go over it to make sure I'm not getting jacked and the contract states 8/12/84 my birth date.

He set me up with the Get More Basic Plan, which is 500 whenever minutes and 2000 weekend minutes for 39.95 a month

So I get a cell phone and use it for the first month. I get my first bill and my Balance is 396.90!!! So I continue looking down my bill and it says that I have 4 phones! So I call Voicestream and the representative tells me that I had 4 phones...

1) "I (so called) canceled my contract out of so there was 227.23 cancellation fee."

2) "I (so-called) activated it and they don't know what happened to it but they were charging me 22.73 for. "

3) I had a phone and that was a second line for me (I knew about this)

4) Then the current phone I was using which I had only used 486 minutes total for the month so there was no overage whatsoever.

So me and the customer service lady goes round and round tell she decides to go ahead and credit it and "it will show up on your next months bill" the lady gives me the total for the left over amount and she told me to pay that and the rest will be credited... I told her I wont be paying till next month until I see the credit on my next bill... she tells me ok that will be fine. So the call is ended and I think everything is all right.

July 27th I get my bill and it is 1136.02!!!!! This bill showed the credit but only for 220.00! I figured "there billing is right" I proceeded to pay this bill wit my next to checks from my job Sprint cause it was due on August 19th.... my mother (the one who had the other phone) thinks that she didn't talk 2747 minutes so she takes the bill and goes through the list of calls and she see millions of calls to other Voicestream customers... so i really mad now... so i make a list of all the voicestream customers and call each of them (on a lan line phone so they wont show up on my next months bill and look suspicious) so i get a list of all the people's names and when there bills were due and had them look at their bills to see if im listed as a incoming call at the same time that i SUPPOSELY called them..... So all the people that I called didn't know who I was and didn't even have me listed on their bills but since I was having problems.... they decided to go though there bill.... to there surprise they had calls too.... they did the same thing I did and me and this other family I had contacted decided to 3 way Voicestream that Saturday at 3 o'clock.... Voicestream said that they can't credit me (or them) and that there is nothing they can do about it.... The lady said they she was going to sue Voicestream and she took down my info and she would have her layer contact me later and it's almost been a year and I haven't heard from her or them... me being a minor there was nothing I could do legally... so I still wanted to keep my cell phone so I just got my 2 Commission checks from telemarketing at sprint and decided to pay them.... my mother refused to drop another dime other than her monthly recurring charge unless she believed she went over her minutes that month....

Later I go back over that bill and I notice that there is something called a one time charge of 232.30 and I really went off then and after 8 calls the last lady really went ahead and credited it...

My Commission check came later than I expected so I ended up paying Voicestream late that month... they let my service stay connected (I guess for the incontinence they had caused me. I hoped) so on august 27th I got my next bill and they total on that was 569.91 I still haven't paid my bill yet... and I saw a payment on my bill for 903.72 cents... so I ask my mother what was that all about and she said she didn't pay them a dime yet either... so I just figured that they credited it anyway.... but now we need to know what was the reason this one was 569.91... my mother again only gave me 45.97 and i was left to deal with the rest (lol)

So I called and they claimed I did it... I didn't want to look at the bill cause if something else would of been wrong I would of went stone crazy! So I said "well since it's only 596 ill still pay them the full 1100 and they can have a negative balance on my account" BIG MISTAKE... I got my checks and went to the bank. Deposited them into my account and use a cashier's check and took them 1340.00 to there Corporate store on town center plaza. They told me about how I can look at my account online so I figured I could monitor everything Voicestream does...

So I got set that up and when it asks for my information for some reason my birth date says 1982... so i think about that for a minute and then i change it to 1984 and the system accepts the changes. While looking at there site I see that they have came out with a plan called the Get more 3000 which is 3000 whenever minutes for 49.95 a month... I decide to get that since Voicestream tells me that I keep using under 2000 minutes I will do great with this plan.... I call in and get that on my phones along with the America Toll Free...that plan will start on the September 27th.... I call and verify that it did start up then and it did so I wait for that bill to come in....

I get the next bill and it is 2283.73!!! I call in and they said that my 1340.00 payment didn't post yet.... and that the 903.72 cents was a mistake and was put on the wrong account and so they claim I still owed that...plus my new bill... this new bill also now says that there was a 739.55 payment on the account also... so I ask the rep about that and she says... "Since you claim that you didn't make that it must be a mistake again ill have someone look into it" and we hang up....

"I figure that this is the last bill with high rates cause I'm on a new rate plan and if they saw called people we didn't it wouldn't matter cause we have so many minutes so I refuse to pay anything else till my account was organized to a fee that I agreed to....

So someone form Voicestream calls and tells me that they are sorry for the error.... and they credited my account to 0.00 and we can start fresh....

October 27th bill arrives and it is accurate.... I'm when into an ill overage calling long distance and so the bill is 347.86...

November 27th rolls around and I go to pay that and before I get to the store my phone is off... they say i owe 1196.27... i was heated!!!!!!!!!! I went smooth on "Financial Services" and they turn my phone back on within the same hour and they credit me the 40.00 reconnect fee...for the 2 phones

December 27th rolls around and they say I owe 1911.91... i told the lady to "DO WATCHALL GOTTA DO CAUSE I AINT PAYING A DIME SO THANK YOU FOR USING DONNELL *****'S NO PAY WHEN YALL JACK HIM SYSTEM!!!" and hung up.... so that month passes by...

January 27th rolls around and.... 2334.88 they came up with some call forwarding charges when my contract clearly states that it is free. So I told them that they might as well "CALL FORWARD MY ACCOUNT TO COLLECTIONS CAUSE I AINT PAYING A DIME" and so then a week later my phone is off.... and then a month later I get a letter from someone called SUNRISE CREDIT SERVICES and they claim I owe them 2440.?? And so I go to Voicestream corporate store and talk to the lady bout this and she tells me that since I'm a minor I need to call Voicestream and tell them this and they will close my account as fraud and that will be the end of that... I do that and the tell me to tell sunrise that cause sunrise bought my account and now I have to deal with them... I call them and fax them a copy of my contract (as requested) and I haven't heard anything from them yet. . I will keep yall updated on what happened next... but that tells you what type of company Voicestream is.... I know there is some way I can get my money back from Voicestream and I want to know how can I do that...
