Jeffrey Batesville, Mississippi U.S.A. How can you even make a statement like that when so many complaints have been made? How does a company that sells laptops NOT have tech support phone numbers? (only option is by web form or email) and to wait 24 hours for a response. When you contact customer support they will tell you to contact the warranty dept. Then the warranty dept will tell you to contact tech support. (back an forth, back and forth) 2 weeks How do you go to the company website and they do not list the model laptop that your purchase. After cussing someone out. and telling them I'm am making report of this issue on ripoffreport.com They looked for the manufacture of the motherboard they use (ESC 600L ) and I was able to resolve the issue by going to esc's website and downloading drivers for the soundcard which they did not. You mention it's user error or problems. Please. I've been working on computers since 92 OSWarp- Linux - Windows - all that... You probably work for the Viscom

Stick a fork in 'Viscom Technology Group' they are done. 'During the first quarter, one of our major electronics vendors, Viscom Technology Group, informed us of their decision to discontinue operations. We are working with them on an orderly wind-down of their business. We continue to grow our overall electronics business with other vendors and new product offerings. We also expect to retain relationships with key manufacturers that Viscom previously represented.' http://www.broadcastnewsroom.com/articles/viewarticle.jsp?id=142567 Est. I bought my V2 Premier (Viscom Technology Group) from ShopNBC nearly three years ago. It was a great deal and I have had no problems with the system. When I read the poorly written complaints about this fine computer it makes me wonder if their issues aren't operator problems. I see complaints on this site about every brand computer made. I don't believe these machines are all lemons but that the purchasers have issues of their own. Jeff

Yes Viscom Technology/V2Premier was a rip off company. They assembled the computers with cheap parts. When I saw the advertisement on NBC Shop At Home, I was very excited because the computer had all the things I wanted and software I knew nothing about so I figured it would be a great opportunity to learn new programs. I ended up having to send it back to them 3 times during the warrenty period due to problems. I complained and requested a brand new replacement but they would not send me one. They just kept fixing the computer. Had no problem in getting the disk's. In fact I have them all. Sent a complaint letter to the BBB in Minnesota against them, and NBC Shop At Home. Nothing ever came out of it. Last May the mother board went out, so I had a reputable local computer repair man make a house call to me. I had to end up shelling out about 300.00 total , but the computer runs and performs much better than it did when it was new. I will never purchase anything from Shop At Home again, but I still consider myself lucky because I have heard of stories worse than mine about Viscom Technology. Next time I purchase a computer it will be in person at one of the local reputable computer stores.
