 I happen to join a dating service called victoria brides advertising about meeting woman from the ukraine. it came to me by a post link. all of a sudden all these beautiful pictures of all these woman came flooding in. i picked one I was intersted in around my age and we began to chat on a chat room. in fact, all victoria brides offer is chat room and e-mail. writing an e-mail was very expensive so I just used the chat room. I found out i get charged a cost of chatting 2 credits per minute. I enjoyed chatting with this woman and then a charge comes in where I have to buy more credits. after about a cost of nearly $over 750.00 from my bank card, my bank became suspicious and called me asking about all this expensive activity. i wrote the woman that we should get on another chat room, one that would be free and she said she would try but didn't know how to do this. when i offered her other chat rooms or even facebook, this sight blocked it out. i tried giving her my address, or phone number and the sight blocked this out also. i asked if she was charged and she told me no. although I had her first name, her age and the city in the ukraine where she lived, the web-sight would not give me her last name. when she wrote me her last name, the sight blocked it out The websiite gave no provisions as to how we could meet, any travel tips to the ukraine, or how she could apply for a visa to come here. all i could do was chat and keep getting charged for it. i believe this is not a ligitmate dating web sight but a scam just to suck someone like me and anyone else, who probably resides in the ukraine or somewhere getting money from poor suckers like me and others. i told the lady i can not afford the cost of this chatting but she told me she did not want to lose me and I told her the same. i tried everything i could to keep in contact with her, but the cost of chatting was ruining the whole relationship. eventually i just had to drop out and let everything go as is. all i can say is i spent over 750.00 worth of loneliness and not a thing to show for it. someone should investigate this web sight and seriously shut it down!

Yes, Michael, YOU are CORRECT ...NOTHING, BUT a ...SCAM.  I have been on, FOR A MONTH, have received, OVER 5000 E-mails from women who, TRULY (appear) TO BE INTERESTED ...sending me, ALL KINDS OF PERSONAL PHOTOS/INFO etc; ...(TO BE FATHER TO THEIR EXISTING KID(S) EVEN.  As to 'Test The Water' would send, in return (to these BEAUTIFUL WOMEN) BUT, WISHING MORE, 'INCOMPLETE Responses', BECAUSE SOOOOO EXPENSIVE.  These women, ask I request their CONTACT INFO.  BUT, on this Site? ...You SHOULD know what that means.  So then remains a Man, and, a Woman: the Man saying '(SHE HAS TOUCHED ME) BUT I have NOT the means to continue this'; THE WOMAN, ASKING 'WHY AM I BEING IGNORED'?  Ask yourself this Michael; 'WOULD (THE AMINISTRATORS OF THIS SITE) WISH TO BE IN (OUR) Postion?  I DO SEE A SHUTDOWN IN THEIR FUTURE. THEIR TORTURE SHALL COME AT THE HEELS OF (OUR) TORTURE.  THIS SITE IS NOTHING MORE THAN, 'TORTURE, IN THE NAME OF PROFIT'

Oh, ONE MORE THING Michael.  Further, this Site DISCLOSES this very 'RISK FACTOR'.  NONE-THE-MORE, CONCERNS me, HOWEVER, MORE INTRISIC, IS THIS SITE'S (SELFISH) SCHEME TO POND APART THOSE, IN SEARCH OF (ONE ANOTHER)

Risks Notice WE MAY SHARE REVENUE WITH THE FEMALE USERS' INTRODUCERS. BY USING OUR WEBSITE, YOU AGREE TO THE RESULTING INCREASED RISK OF INCENTIVIZED COMMUNICATION AND IMPERSONATION.

Please read this Risks Notice attentively. It might affect your decision to use the Services available on our Website.

Our Suppliers. Validated Members

For the purposes of provision of our Services to you via the Website, we are cooperating with local independent service providers ("Suppliers").

Among other things, the Suppliers:

  1. act as “introducers”, that is, refer female members to us for registration on our Website ("Validated Members");
  2. provide all the information and materials on the Validated Members that is displayed on our Website (including name, other personal details, photographs, videos etc.) as well as a copy of the Validated Members’ identification document;
  3. purchase and deliver flowers and other goods ordered by you via the Website as gifts to the Suppliers’ Validated Members;
  4. collect the Validated Members’ paperwork, including the consents to personal meetings or the disclosure of personal contract details.

If you wish to find out whether a certain member is a Validated Member, please contact us using the contact form or other contact details provided on our Website.

Suppliers’ Fees: Revenue Sharing

It is common for Suppliers to expect to be paid fees that are linked to the amounts spent by you while communicating with, and making gifts to, the Validated Members of those Suppliers ("Revenue Sharing").

Taking into account that many, if not all, of our competitors work with their local female members’ introducers on the basis of Revenue Sharing, we may also do so in our relations with our Suppliers in order to remain competitive.

This means that the Supplier who referred a certain Validated Member to us may be getting a share of the money you spend on our Website while communicating with that Validated Member, and of other money you spend on the Website in connection with that Validated Member ("Profile-Linked Fees").

Profile-linked Revenue Sharing may increase the risks of incentivized communication and impersonation, as described below, or of other potentially deceptive actions.

PLEASE NOTE THAT BY CONTINUING TO USE THE SERVICE, YOU ARE ACCEPTING THOSE RISKS, AND AGREE THAT WE WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE TO YOU IN CASE SUCH RISKS MATERIALIZE.

Incentivized Communication. Impersonation

Because of Revenue Sharing, the Suppliers might attempt to increase your spending on our Website linked to a specific member (and accordingly, to increase the Supplier’s Profile-Linked Fees). In particular, a Supplier might:

  1. share its Profile-Linked Fees with its Validated Members with whom you are communicating. This may lead to a situation where a Validated Member is communicating with you because she is paid for that ("Incentivized Communication");
  2. and/or
  3. instruct the Validated Members’ translators or other employees of the Supplier to communicate with you on behalf of the Validated Members without the participation or knowledge of the Validated Members, and without disclosing this to you ("Impersonation").

In other words, this means that there is a risk that on our Website, as well as on the websites of many of our competitors you might be communicating:

  1. with a person directly or indirectly interested in increasing your spending on the website
  2. and/or
  3. with a person different from the person shown on the profile, and possibly of a different gender from that person.

We are working on limiting the risk that our Suppliers will engage in any of these practices. However, we shall not be held responsible to you in case any of these practices takes place during your use of the Service. By using the Service, you agree to the possibility of Incentivized Communication and Impersonation.

Translators and their gender.

Members of our Website might use the services of translators to assist with overcoming the language barrier in communication with other members. This means that in some cases a translator could be writing and sending messages and other communications on behalf of a member.

The gender of the translator might not be the same as the gender of the member. For example, a female member might allow a male translator to communicate with you on her behalf.

Moreover, Validated Members might use the services of translators offered by their referring Suppliers. Because a share of the money spent by you on the Website may go to the Suppliers that introduced the relevant Validated Members (see Revenue Sharing), such Suppliers might induce their staff translators and/or Validated Members to communicate with you in a way that would increase your spending of money on this Website.

We are working on limiting the risk that our Suppliers’ translators will ever communicate on behalf of (or impersonate) any of the Validated Members without first disclosing this to you. However, we shall not be held responsible to you in case any such practice takes place during your use of the Service.

This Risks Notice forms part of the binding Agreement between you, a user of the Website, and us. The term "us" (in all declensions), and the capitalized terms used but not defined herein, have the meanings given to them in our Terms of Use.
