Debt Consolidation
In January 2000, I sent a check by phone to US Debt Consolidation Service in Deerfield, FL. As my contract states I was to send a check for $212. by phone on the 30th of every month, and refer my creditors to their customer service department. I recieved three notices from my credit card company that my account was overdue and my credit report was going to be spoiled if I didn't pay up. So I called the consolidation company time after time all different times a day and never got an answer or an answering machine. They seem to have dissappeared with my payment and all of my personal information without paying the cc company or myself.
Isn't this stealing? What can I do to get my money back?
