In March of 2004, I was called by a representative of US Benefits. She claimed that for a fee of $329.99, her company could offer me a credit card with up to a $5000 credit limit along with other material including information about how to repair credit, vacation opportunities, dish network plan, and a free cell phone. I was interested in the credit card as I was getting ready to move three months later. So, I agreed to have $165.00 deducted from my checking account on April 5th and another $164.99 deducted on April 19th. My receipt number was 4101889. I was to allow 15-20 days to receive my package. I never came.

I called again when I found a note to myself, after unpacking from my move, regarding this and called on October 18th. I left a message with an extremely rude assistant to have a representative call me back. On Oct. 19th, "Eve" left me a nice message to call her back. I returned her call on the 21st, but the same rude assistant would never let me speak to Eve. I explained that I had never received my package and tried to say, "I just would like a refund and we'll forget about this." The rude girl insisted on sending me a new package. I agreed that I would at least look at it.

On Nov. 1st I received the package. It is not anything I'm interested in and I was shocked to see that the "credit card" was not a credit card at all. It was an application for a Mastercard debit card that you can put money on. Well, I already have a VISA "debit card" with my bank...why would I want another.

So, I called back this morning Nov. 4th and spoke briefly with the rude assistant again. I asked for Eve and she once again would not let me speak to her. I explained that I had received the package and was not satisfied. I told her my circumstances had changed significantly and that I would be happy to return the package at my cost in order to receive a refund. She refused and very rudely told me that it wasn't her problem. What ever happened to wanting to satisfy a customer? She offered nothing but attitude to me. Please help me get my money back for a product that is nothing but information anyone could pull off the Internet for free--certainly not for $329.99!
