TracFone Wireless is a pre-paid phone service. If you want any kind of customer service, don't use TracFone. When you call their customer care line it is almost impossible to get through to a real person, and when you do they don't speak English and they don't know how to help you.

I recently sent my daughter to Florida. On the way home she got stuck in the Atlanta airport. We went through 80 minutes of phone time very fast. When I called TracFone to ask them to help put more minutes on her phone so I could continue to help her, they couldn't help me. They didn't have any records there so they couldn't find the information on the phone I needed to add minutes to. When her phone ran out of minutes I had to have my daughter paged at the airport. It was a very scary situation.

Also, due to a small claims court case, I need records of some calls that were made during one week in February. Getting those records has been a terrible experience. Originally, I was told that there was no way to get those records. When I pushed harder I was told to get an attoney to send in a formal request. I told them I would not get an attorney for a smalls claims case! Then I was told to get a subpoena and fax it to them. Anyway, this situation goes on and on, receiving different answers from every person I talked to, and I will hopefully receive the needed records with the next month or so, but that is yet to be seen.

Again, they just don't understand English, and they aren't educated people. They call it their "Customer Care Department". No... they don't care.

Stick with a regular pay plan!!!!
